Although I don't agree, people have told me I look like Lynn Whitfield....

i've been told I look like three people...
when i was young and extremely skinny people told me i looked like ann marie johnson--i was OFFENED!!!

my best friend thinks i look just like the girl from the Glenn Lewis videos--I can live w/ that. (i can see the resemblance)

lastly...after the premiere of Beloved a lady came out of the theatre and caused a scene...you would have thought that she was oprah herself the was way she was looking at me shook, shocked, and wide eyed...she even introduced me as Beloved to all her friends and other strangers like that was my name...i think the actress's name is Thadie Newton--I don't see it...but again...I can live w/ that!!!

Why were you offended? Ann Marie Johnson is pretty in my opinion. She's in need of a few cheeseburgers, but pretty nonetheless.

I don't think so.
When I see her, I dont see the smart, sexy, innovative young lady i'm often referred as.

but i'm am a source of comic relief....

Well, back in high school folx said I looked like James Bond III (Monroe from School Daze). He also starred and directed the Troma B-movie Def by Temptation.

About that same time another group of folx said I looked like Dwayne Wayne--I don't see the resemblence there.

A third group said I looked like Terrence Taylor (Col. Taylor's son on A Different World).

Nowadays I don't think I look like any celebrity or TV/movie charactor--I'll have to defer to Crimson Tide 4 to give her 2 cents on that since she has seen me in real life.

Way back in the day people used to say that I looked like Brandy whenever I had braids. I was offended by that one because I thought that her eyes were too far apart making her look like a hammer head shark. My eyes are not far apart at all. Then I had a boyfriend who always said that I looked like Holly Robinson Peete (Sp?) from Hanging With Mr. Cooper. I've also been told that I look like Kelly Rowland from Destiny's Child (when she was wearing her hair in the short flip style).

Hey another! I get Lynn Whitfield all the time. I was at a dinner party once and "A Thin Line Between Love & Hate" was on tv. One frat kept looking at the screen and then back and me, then at the screen again. It was too funny because for the next half hour he called me Lynn Whitfield. Now whenever he sees me he calls me that. I have a friend who looks even more like her. People think we are sisters.

I used to get Janet Jackson when I had braids in highschool. That offended me, I don't find her attractive at all. Rather frightening in fact.

I often got Aaliyah from highschool all the way through college. Especailly when I wore my t-shirt with a picture of her. My family even thought I had a t-shirt made with a picture of myself on it! I agree with that one, but it makes me a little sad now.

I get that one alot too. Recently i was told that I reminded someone of a cross between Amerie and Amel Larrieux, I don't see that resemblance either. Personally, I think I just look like my momma

I have been told that I look like a "thicker" Gabrielle Union. When I was younger and chubbier, I was said to look like Mia X. I dont appreciate that statement now though!

Two days ago, this grocery store bagger thought I looked like Lisa Bonet from the Cosby Show. Em'kay... She and I do have the same complexion and big eyes, but that's where the resemblance stops. My boneheaded ex-boyfriend thought I looked like Rose McGowan *the girl that was Marilyn Manson's girlfriend and was in the godawful movie 'Jawbreaker'. Gives me yet another reason that I'm glad I broke up with the ex. LOL
