Ahh, yes, I remember that sorry-excuse for a movie.

Everytime I go to an event now, my bloodsister says to me (sarcastically, of course) "Are they gonna hang you from a sheet off of a building?"

There was a play so many years ago called "Vanities" (I don't think it was ever a movie). It was a story about 3 college co-eds. I'm not sure if they were Kappas or just wanted to be Kappas, but it mentioned Kappa Kappa Gamma. I can't remember if it mentioned Kappa in a flattering light or not! I think Annette O'Toole was one of the actresses. I want to say Meredith Baxter was in it also but can't be sure.

I remember this one! It was done very well, too. I think there were only the 3 characters, and it showed them in high school, college, and about 10 years after college. Meredith Baxter WAS one of them, and I remember them as being Kappas, too. I think the Broadway show was taped for tv eventually.

In the late '70's there was a horrible sorority movie with Shelly Winters as the house mother. It was a sorority of outcasts and had something to do with witchcraft. They portrayed the other sororities as snobs and this one was just plain weird. Can't remember the name, actually don't want to remember. I just remember cringing at how awful it portrayed Greeks during a time with membership was really down.

hahahahahaha....
this movie is called "The Initiation of Sarah." Hey, when you have Morgan Fairchild AND Morgan Brittany in the same flick, you know it's got to be high quality!! If you have the Plex channel, you can probably catch this one since they run it quite often.

How about the classic underdog movie: Revenge of the Nerds? You get all of the cheese, all of the stereotypes, but somehow it still makes me laugh.
"Burning Down the House!"
And you have Anthony Edwards back when he had hair.
(ps-- The sequels SUUUUUUUCK.)

I love this thread!
Are any of these movies good for use with anti-hazing seminars for sisters?
Just curious! Thanks!

Hmmm if i'm not mistaken I think i vaguely remember there being something about fraternaties on the movie "Orange County".. it wasn't part of the dominating theme of the movie, but I think there was a teensy part.. like a party or something.
And don't know if this has been mentioned on this thread yet, but what about Van Wilder?

Van Wilder was an awesome movie - especially the orthodox jewry party... I'm sure myself, AEPis, and other Jewish students really appreciated that scene!

The other girl is Jamie Luner(sp?) She played Lexi on Melrose Place. Anyway, I saw this movie and it was so cheesy. I thought it was suppose to be a horror film.

There is also "8 heads in a duffle bag." Some of the action takes place at a fraternity house.
Another movie is Tommy Boy, I think at the very beginning before Tommy graduates college he is partying at his fraternity house.

errrr .... Well, lionlove, the house is Theta Delta Chi, not the Theta Chi Delta (just switch the second and third letter around).
Also don't forget the Dead Man on Campus.
