All I can say is that I saw quite a few rompers walking the row and helping in the house today and I'm not yet sure how you can fix yourself in them. I felt so bad for some of the pnms. It's hot hot hot here in Tuscaloosa and I think it would be hellish to try and get some air circulation in one of those.

We're definitely on the same style team. I don't know that I've ever seen anyone "rock a romper."
Yes, the platform sandals are definitely comfy looking, with some height. I also thought the PNM wearing tennis shoes and a loose chambray ruffled sundress, in the picture where she's walking in the middle of a line of PNMS, with her head turned to look behind her, looked great and comfy and authentic.

I thought the same thing! She looked comfortable, cute and confident. She wore it well! I am sure her feet were feeling much better than most at the end of the day.

Oh dear...in all of our excitement for these awesome recruitments, we're getting ourselves confused over which chapter is which on the pictures. It's my fault! I'm the one that posted the two pictures; but, I didn't add any captions to the photos. Sorry about that - I didn't see a need for captions at the time and now there's confusion.

Sciencewoman commented on PNM outfits and specifically highlighted one PNM with a chambray dress and sneakers looking behind her. tcsparky couldn't view the link given and asked for sample photos. I posted two sample photos from the Red and Black gallery for tcsparky to see:

The second photo I linked was the one sciencewoman had originally mentioned. She then said:

Then the confusion started because apparently the top photo in my post was Sigma Kappa's house and the Sigma Kappas thought Sciencewoman was talking about that one.

We were talking about the girl in the blue chambray dress. That's the picture with the girls in the yellow and blue dresses which is Gamma Phi Beta. It sounds like some mistakenly thought that Sciencewoman and GPhiBLtColonal were talking the first photo in my post. Yes, the house in the other photo is Sigma Kappa.
So y'all are both right. Everyone's a winner!

I agree...while light weight, most those rompers aren't made from fabrics that easily breathe, so with the heat, I can only imagine! I was flipping through the pictures and it looked like everyone was all wearing similar outfits from Kohls. And yes, the shoes/sandales looked a lot more comfy and down to earth than what seemed to be common in years past!

For reals. Did all of these women get together to coordinate their outfits before recruitment? In many of the photos, there's even a fairly consistent color scheme. I thought some pics of the PNMs were actually of the sorority members because their clothes looked so similar and in sync.
I guess that's the style that's in!

That's awesome. My friend's daughter only got 3 invites back...so they are freaking out a bit.

Those platform espadrilles, TEVAs, etc. > heels all day, believe it or not.
Repeat Kohls romper also > every PNM thinking they need to be wearing Lilly!
You'd almost be out of place in pearls/heels/LP.
i like.

Bluebird has 13 invites back, her favourite house was her legacy house and, unfortunately, they elected not to invite her back. She ranked them first over all. However, sometimes the things in life we do not receive are kept from us in order for us to prosper.
