I thought you left UF & transferred to USF.
That would mean you're no longer part of UF's greek system.
Good luck in your new school!
And don't hate us true GATORS!!! -=;==;<

So tell me are you apart of UF's greek system? To say you were greek at UF and you were apart of that system wouldn't that mean that you must be alumni now? I was given early alumni status, as were the other members of the chapter. I'm not getting pissy. I'm just asking, do you feel that your apart of KD at UF now? I can see in one aspect no, but then in another you will always be apart of it.
Just curious as to how you look at it.

Actually, I'm full Korean and I used to live in Hawaii when I was younger (for only 3 years) That seems to confuse people- they think I'm Hawaiian Um, I was born in Atlanta

It seems that Asians with a certain skin tone, petite features and a nice tan often get mistaken for Hawaiian, or I guess more correctly: Polynesian?

I know I'm new here, but doesn't this all seem a little trite to be arguing over?
Just a thought.

Shine I could not agree with you more! It is getting late for me and I read the total thread!
What the hell is going on?
As Moderators, we take our unpaid posistions to heart! We do not take it lightley!
There are people who try to stir things up on this Web Site and will always be!
While at times I try to stir a little up, I have respect for all Greek Orgs! We are all on here trying to do things better for us as a whole!
I have never had to ban anyone on the threads that i am a Mod on and feel lucky! I know that theren have bee posts on other threads that get very obnoxious and abrasive that is uncalled for!
We have a thread that no one but Mods can get on and these threads are discussed before anything gets banned. John H can ban a person and he is very wonderfull about it as he too likes to see come controversy in discussions. But some of the language is inapropriate and is deleted!
I think this site has done more to cement relationships a,ongst Greeks than any other before!
Do You Want to Fight about that statement or what?
Get it together YALL!

Yeah, I'm mistaken as Hawaiian sometimes, but could I BE any less Hawaiian? Which reminds me, the nice tan is going so tomorrow looks like a layout day...
Anyhoos, I've been gone for a little while because of spirit week right now, but re: this thread, it's nice to know that some things never change.

I guess your thoughts of what a Hawaiian looks like is different from what we think here. I've lived here for most of my whole life, but people don't know that I'm Hawaiian until I tell them. They guess right away that I'm Filipino and Japanese, though. I don't know...you decide. Still, I was 'Hawaiian' enough to get into the Kamehameha Schools...but that's another story.
And James, in most cases they'll be mistaken for Hawaiian only because the other islands of Polynesia (Tahiti, Samoa, etc.) had little or no contact with Asian travelers...not as much Hawaii, anyway.
If I hear someone say that all Hawaiian women look like Nani in Disney's "Lilo & Stitch" one more time, I'm going to scream.
