I never had a relaxer before. Can you "wash and wear" your hair if you use a relaxer? I mean wash and wear, without it getting curly. If so, this is something I might look into, I'm sick of spending 30-45 minutes on my hair after every time I wash it.

I just started using Silk Elements. The conditioner really worked a miracle on my hair.

How long does it stay in your hair? Do you have to apply weekly? Monthly? Bi-monthly? Every other month?

I have to relax my hair every month because I have very thick hair, and I exercise quite abit.

I am running a personal survey to just get an idea of which relaxers are preferred and which ones are considered the ones to stay away from. As a person who just recently began relaxing my own hair, professionally of course, I would just like to get some advice. Thankyou for taking the time out to respond to my post.

sincerely,

My cosmotologist uses Affirm Sensitive on me. We used to use something else (I forgot the name), but it kinda burned too quick. I like whatever is light, since my hair is not very coarse.

Not a good idea on black hair since out hair gets very dry. When we wash, we have to take the time to condition for about 10-15 minutes, and then set the hair (and hopefully you all are NOT blow drying!). I mean, wash and wear is for real fine hair.
