Angry guys and STD's

Sorry, just confused, it never dawned on me that anyone, in this day, would be Ok with using nothing...I mean HIV can be in your system for a long time w/o showing up.

I don't mean that women need to check protection at the door attitude, but I always figured it was understood.

I know a guy who thinks he doesn't need to use condoms because "he'd be able to tell" if a girl had something. I try to convince him that STD's are all over the place, even at small private colleges. He seems to believe they're a trashy state school girl phenomenon. Pretty scary.

ok....this is huge

my girlfriend and i had sex or whatever and I "went" inside. She is on birthcontrol and all that but I know that doesn't really mean anything. Her "time" was just last week so I'm thinking that there is less of a chance but is that true? I mean it was right after that "time" and all so it doesn't seem like she would even have eggs yet. this si obviously huge and I have no clue what to do or think or say right now. anyone who knows anything that could ease my worries or give me more, i don't care i just need honest thoughts if you'll post them here below. thanx
OK, wait...when did you two have sex? If it was very recent, she can get those 72-hour pills from the doctor. I didn't read any of the other posts in this thread so I don't know if anyone already recommended this or not...

And period or not, she can get pregnant anyway... and didn't you say she was on birthcontrol? I think she's pretty safe...

Wow! There are some nasty posts here. I remember an episode of Will & Grace.
What was Grace's first form of birth control?
Prayer!

It's funny on a tv show, but not in real life. Protect yourself and your loved one.

UF-PIKE, I suggest you chill your self a bit!

You are asking/telling a lot and it is something that I dont neccerssaryly need to hear!

If you get Cranial Rectosis, there is an edit buttom a the thread that lets you go back and edit out silly or mundane things!

If you do not mind me saying so, you do not sound like any PKA Member I know.

Maybe you heard of them and posted as such and are a 12 year old who has nothing better to do with his time?

If I am wrong, My BAD, If I am right get a real life!

If you are a member of PKA then represent yourself as A PIKE Not as a no brainer!

WORRIEDSTUDENT----if she is on the pill and taking it as she is supposed to, she is probably not going to get pregnant. The only real way that a girl on the pill is going to get pregnant is if she forgets to take it or if she takes antibiotics......certain antibiotics can weaken the pill and cause a woman to ovulate.

I would like to point out that if you are involved with this girl, why do you not trust her? I really wouldn't recommend having sex with someone you don't trust....if you don't trust her to take her pills then why would you trust her to tell you if she was infected with an STD, etc...?

CONTRARY to popular belief (UF PIKE?) girls do not spend all their free time plotting ways to "trap" some poor little unsuspecting male into marrying them. Most girls who are in college are trying to prepare for their OWN futures/careers and the last thing they need is to get tied down to some guy they may not even like in a month or two and a baby. Chances are she's just having her good time or whatever the case may be....hopefully if she is having sex with you she at least likes you and respects you enough to be up-front.

As far as the "cycle" goes, in a perfect 28-day cycle (Day 1 being the first day of her period) a woman ovulates on Day 14.....but this is rare. Hormones can cause changes at any time and most women are not so regular. Without protection, it is a possibility that a woman can get pregnant any day out of the month, EVEN DURING HER PERIOD. It isn't LIKELY, but it CAN happen.

Not to discount anything that anyone else has said but I have been sexually active for 15 years and I have 2 children.....I know quite a bit about the subject having both actively worked at NOT getting pregnant and at getting pregnant. PLEASE....if you have any doubts see a Dr.

Ok, this story isn't the brightest one, and everyone says i'm a "stupid nurse" but it should make you feel better.

And just to clarify, you don't have to take the pill the same time everyday, unless you are taking the special type that requires it. For the most part, most women are not on this one, and as long as you take the pill daily you'll be fine.

Ok, here goes.

I am really bad with my pills. I forget for days on end, but I've been fine so far. Well...I skipped 4 days of pills, realized I hadn't taken them in a while, took 2 pills, threw 2 away, and resumed on the regular schedule. I think in all I ended up skipping at least a week of pills, and discarded some of them. All the while, using this as the only method of birth control. Needless to say, I'm not pregnant. I'm stupid, but not pregnant.

So calm down, I'm sure things will work out either way.

Now, ladies take your pills properly (me included) and men bring the condoms (you too ladies) otherwise, realize that we're all at risk of STD's, AIDS, and pregnancy. That's just the risk you take when you are sexually active. I personally think the risk is worth it, but that's just my opinion...

fingers are crossed for you and my prayers for you are in my heart. I'm sure that everything will turn out okay with the general reaction of the board...just keep in mind that this test is early since it's exactly one week, I hope everything works out the way you hope for....

edit:

I assume you will, but tell us what becomes of the test, + or -

You know, it kills me how much people have to worry about this when I have known so many people (myself included) who at one time or another have had a MISERABLE time getting pregnant. You can do everything right for months on end, not conceive, and upon examination have nothing wrong with you that should prevent you from getting pregnant. Then there are a couple of teenagers who have sex with a condom during the girl's period and she still gets knocked up!!!!!!!! I don't get it.....

It usually works like that if the teenagers live here in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, etc...

I guess there's just something in the water.

I speak from plenty of experience...

For one, the Morning After Pills cost about $30 at Planned Parenthood. They MUST be taken within 72 hours of possible conception...the sooner the better. It's simply two pills that she takes once in the morning and once at evening.

Birth Controll pills DON'T need to be taken at the exact time everyday.

Yes, a girl can get pregnant off the pill even if she uses it properly (I'm living proof).

A girl can get pregnant no matter what time of her cycle she is in...obviously. And for the record, sperm stays in the body longer than most people think.

Unhappy

I have read and reread this site many times before I Decided to post this!

I Dated a Lady in College and we loved each other with all of our hearts!

We had a simple ceremony between us!

Well she became Pregnent with I have No Doubt my Child!

She left school and was beaten by her strict Luthern Farmer Father!

I dropped out of school and my Mother took me to a Lawyer who said I Did Not Have to Pay for anything!

Well most of you knowing me, I told him to kiss my ASS!

I worked to pay for my baby!

My Mother God Rest her Sole did not like her as she was very Dark complected with Coal Black Hair ! German, go figure!

I get a call on Christmas Eve from her saying congratulations, you have a Blonde Haired Blued Eyed Son!

That is the last time I ever heard from her!

I have been trying to find her ever since and My son!

Well He is 44 years old now! He probabably just hates me if He has asny idea!

Yes life is hard, and I nevered had any other Children after that!

It hurt just so much that I could not bring my self to do it again!

You now know my deepest secret and goodby!

You are the Best!
