Dr. Seuss was a Sig Ep! I see a lot of our secrets in there that you probably see everytime you watch it but don't think about.

Speaking of false rumors about glos...
I can say with 100% certainity that Mrs. Geisel aka Mrs. Seuss did not share any SK secrets with Dr. Seuss. How do I know that? Because Nationals has confirmed that they have no record of her ever being a member! Therefore the SK secrets is either pure coincidence or an SK was involved with some other aspect of the movie production.
Mystic Pizza however was definitely written by an SK. So the secrets in there aren't coincidence.
But I do think it's cool to notice things in movies and tv that have special meaning to just you and your frineds.

Everytime I see something with the Muppets I think of AZD because Fozzie bear was created in honor of our sorority. Jim Henson's wife was an Alpha Xi.
As for movies and stuff like that, I have no idea! Any other Alpha Xi's out there know something I don't?

Its always funny to watch old Magnum PI episodes where Tom Selleck is wearing his college ring with the Sigma Chi Badge on it. Also, John wayne wore his badge ring in a movie once....Green berets i think. Brad Pitt was in a magazine awhile back wearing one of his Sigma Chi shirts from back in the day. And of course who can forget David Letterman and his sigma chi comments on his show. One thing though...how come you guys say..ya he/she WAS a such and such fraternity/sorority member. In sigma chi we always say he IS a Sigma chi....no matter if he is active or alum.

Little Mermaid - ZTA??
The Little Mermaid was written by Hans Christian Anderson, who I seriously doubt was a ZTA... I'm confused! I just looked it up online, and some sites say it was an animator, and some say it was the author...
Fun Kappa fact - the fleur-de-lis on the Campbell's soup can is there because of a Kappa!

I have no way of actually confirming this, but when I was a pledge we were told by a national officer that Wrigley's gum has the arrows on the packages because Mrs. Wrigley was a Pi Phi. Probably not true, but it is a good story!

Ok since I started this thread I thought I should make another comment.
I just got back from Walt Disney World and there were Pansies everywhere. (KAO flower) I also noticed kites everywhere. It was really neat to see all of there things. Two of the three of Walt Disney's daughters were Theta's.
Something else that we take pride in is not matter what way the last elections would have gone the 1st lady of the US would have been a Theta. But since Laura Bush is the 1st lady we have both her and her two daughters.
Something else that was special to my sisters and I on vacation was at MGM studios when we took the back lot tour. One of the houses on the tour was the house where the golden girls was taped. Blanch (I don't think I spelled that right) was a Theta too.
Please Keep Responding, Its fun to know what is special to everyone that we see around us or on TV.

Aaron from Real world LA was a Lambda Chi and on one of the reruns I heard him say one of our open mottoes (in english). Pretty cool. he didnt attribuite it, but all of us who were watching caught it.
