How come one of my LS thought Harriet Tubman was a soror AND the reason she thoght this because her RA (an Alpha) had a bulletin board up and claimed it to be so. So I just had to chuckle when I read this.

Greetings all,

I just wanted to say that you definitely should not believe everything that you hear. But you should not discard everything that sounds suspicious before you look into it. If you're really that interested in it, go and find out the truth. I am sure everyone here would like to know. There is some truth in EVERYTHING you hear.

That said, George Washington Carver IS a man Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, INC. (I know he has passed on.) From what I know of my blue history, he was very active in Sigma. (So, he was not one of these members who crossed the burning sands and thought that it was over.)

I also heard Rick James was a Sigma. Is he a Sigma? I don't know. When I was seeking the "light" his name never came up as a member.

Now for all of the uninitiated in the blue and white, I don't expect you to know that nor do I expect you to believe me. If you're really interested, go to our website and take a look at it.

Brother Carver's name is there.

And what if Jasmine Guy was a Zeta? What does that mean in the grand scheme of things? The million dollar answer is Nada...Zetas stand proud with or without honorary members.

You know it's one thing to have "mistakes" up on a webpage...but when I opened up that Divine 9 book and saw the same stuff...I was like wth...I have to agree with the person who said if the HQ of that organization can't verify it then it isn't so...doesn't take much to call up some HQ of some NPHC org and just ask!

and That's my $19.20 worth...
