Day 1:
Brooke: This was her first impression of sorority life at her school. She liked them, but she didn’t leave ready to sign her name on a bid. Overall, she wanted to come back to meet more sisters before making her decision.
Chloe: Abby liked Chloe more than Brooke. She seemed to have more in common with the sisters she met and they were very impressed when she mentioned she chose to come to this school because of her scholarship. Abby would like to return to Chloe.
Kendall: Kendall is the colony on campus. She was very impressed with their presentation and decided she would keep them as an option.
Maddie: There was nothing wrong about her time at Maddie. She had good conversations with sisters and had things in common with them but she felt like something was missing. She didn’t care if she got invited back or not.
Mackenzie: Abby feel in love with this chapter (as well as everyone else in her recruitment group). She had the best conversations with them and thought they were everything she was wanting in a sorority. They are her clear favorite.
Nia: After Mackenzie, no one could have gone well. They were nice girls, but Abby knows she wants to be somewhere else.
Paige: Abby had a similar experience at Paige that she did at Nia. She liked Nia a little better though. This was her least favorite of the day.
After Paige, it was time to rank. She had a clear favorite: Mackenzie. Honestly, as long as she had Mackenzie on her schedule, she didn’t care what others were on her list. But since she had to rank more than one as her first choices, she listed:
1. Mackenzie
1. Chloe
(Kendall)
1. Brooke
1. Maddie
2. Nia
3. Paige

Abby is not a legacy any where on campus. However, she does have an aunts in Brooke and Chloe. She also has cousins in Mackenzie and Nia.

Apparently, we're also getting an advance taste of slowly posted recruitment stories.

I just wanted to check this site before heading off to bed and realized I still had a lot to post in cousin 2's recruitment. I promise I haven't forgotten! I'm visiting my in-laws so it's been pretty crazy. I'll get one more post up tonight then try to finish things tomorrow (it's supposed to be 100 here tomorrow so I can't imagine we'll be doing much).

Day 2:
Abby was invited back to:
Chloe
Nia
Mackenzie
Brooke
Abby was over the moon to be invited back to Mackenzie. She was fine with the rest of her schedule as well.
Chloe: These girls are really sweet and she enjoys her time here. However she doesn’t feel at home here.
Nia: Abby was glad to have a second look at Nia. They were nice, but she spent most of the party counting the minutes until it was over and she could go to Mackenzie.
Mackenzie: Loves. Still loves. She met some wonderful new sisters and got to see a couple of the sisters she met the day before. If Mackenzie is not on her schedule for preference, she plans to drop out of recruitment to either try for Mackenzie through COB or pursue Kendall (the colony).
Brooke: Just like the day before, Abby could not enjoy another sorority after spending time with the sisters of Mackenzie. And because of that, she liked Brooke less than the day before.
After Brooke, Abby went to rank again. She knew she wanted Mackenzie, but wasn’t sure who else to list as a number one choice. Abby ended-up ranking:
1. Mackenzie
(Kendall)
1. Chloe
2. Brooke
3. Nia

Preference:
Abby was invited back to:
Brooke
Mackenzie
Abby was so happy to be invited back to Mackenzie. She knew she was meant to be a Mackenzie and didn’t care at all that she hadn’t been invited back to Chloe.
Brooke: Brooke was a nice experience. She could tell the sorority was a great organization and the sisters were very proud to be in Brooke. The sister who preffed her was someone she had met on the first day this girl made it very clear that Brooke wanted Abby to join. But, the party felt like it was never going to end. She just wanted to get out and go to Mackenzie.
Mackenzie: Mackenzie was everything Abby had wanted it to be. She laughed while talking to the girl preffing her and cried during their ceremony. Abby was very forward and told the women preffing her that Mackenzie was her number one choice all week and wanted to see them on her bid card the next day. The girl preffing her smiled and hugged her as she walked Abby out the door.
Abby knew exactly where she wanted to be. To her, it really was Mackenzie or nothing. But her recruitment counselor told her it was in her best interest to rank both, but list Mackenzie as her number one choice. Abby wasn’t so sure about that since she was in love with Mackenzie and only liked Brooke. But Abby figured since her recruitment counselor was already in a sorority, she knew better than her how to have a successful recruitment. She ended-up ranking:
1. Mackenzie
2. Brooke

Bid day:
There was no phone call, so Abby got ready to meet her new sisters. She walked over with a couple of girl from her dorm to pick-up their bids. Abby didn’t really like these girls and hoped that they would not be joining her at Mackenzie. Luckily, when they opened their bids, Abby learned they would be going to Nia and Maddie.
Abby looked into her envelope:
Brooke

Ditto, but I was hoping it wouldn't be.

The first thing she did was talk to her recruitment counselor to tell her she would not be accepting the bid to Brooke and wanted to know how to get involved in the Kendall colonization. The recruitment counselor told her that since she signed the night before saying she would accept a bid to Mackenzie OR Brooke, she was bound to that bid for a year unless she transferred schools. This meant she couldn’t join Kendall at this school either. She told Abby that she might as well give Brooke a try then left to comfort another upset PNM.
Abby was furious. Why had her recruitment counselor told her it was in her best interest to list Brooke? If she hadn’t, then maybe she could become a Kendall, which she had always found as more exciting than Brooke.
First she called her mother to let her know what was going on and how she felt. Her mother encouraged her to go to Bid Day, but first call her older sister, who had also received her second choice on Bid Day.
Her sister was sympathetic because she knew what it was like to see your number two house listed instead of your first choice. However, her sister had liked her second choice almost as much as her first choice so it didn’t take long for her to get excited about where she ended-up. She also encouraged Abby to go to Bid Day and give Brooke a shot.
She called her best friend, but she was going through recruitment at another school that week and couldn’t really talk.
Finally, she called her Mackenzie cousin and yelled at her for not writing a good enough letter of recommendation to the sorority. The cousin assured Abby that she had said amazing words about her and couldn’t believe that her sisters didn’t want her to join. She also encouraged Abby to go to Bid Day and see what Brooke was about.
So Abby joined the other Brooke new members, almost all were extremely excited about getting their number one choice, Brooke. And Abby knew there were other PNMs who were crying earlier because they didn’t get Brooke. Abby smiled in pictures and accepted the Brooke gifts from her Bid Day buddy. But still, something didn’t feel right. Even two weeks into new member education, Abby felt like something was missing…
