Her parents probably still do live in PA.
You said "of course"- leading me to believe you were positive and it was matter of fact that Amber lived in Pittsburgh.

Basically, it's your choice. But like everyone else has said, please weigh the value of being in Playboy against the dignity, class, and respect you and your GLO currently possess. Like it or not, your posing will likely negatively affect people's perceptions of you as well as the women you call your sisters.

I kinda feel like it's like getting a tattoo. So many college freshmen go out and do it, just because they can (not around Mom and Dad anymore, just let off the leash, etc). They end up getting something retarded and for the rest of their lives they're that kid with Marvin the Martian smoking a blunt between their shoulder blades.

Playboy will still be accepting pictures in 2 years. Wait until you've graduated and begun to establish a life outside college. If you still want to do it then, you'll know that you wnt to do it for real, for you personally.

Playboy isn't going anywhere.

And this is my own personal opinion, but what if a member of your family who didn't know you were posing happened to pick up that issue? I for one stumbled across my GRANDFATHER'S cache of porn when I was 11... that forever ruled out any chance of EVER choosing that lifestyle. Him opening a magazine, seeing his granddaughter.... ewwwwwwwwwwwwww.

haha

In november my leadership consultant came to visit. I asked her if the rumors were true that Judge Judy was a member of my house. She said no, but that we have a partial celebrity the November 2001 playboy centerfold. She funny thing is she is from achapter in PA. Isnt that where the originator of this topic is from? Anyway i guess it became a big issue, but the girl was- is a good member so it became a matter of free speech. Since she was a good member they didn't terminate her.

people think it is a bad thing to pose for Playboy but if you think about it what about the members who act slutty at fraternity houses sleeping with anyone( and eveyone knows about it in the Greek community, or the sisters-bros who get wasted everynight or high. I think there are a lot of actives who do a lot of bad things and if we are going to crack down then we need to get these members as well. I can guarantee i know at least five members who would get kicked out of my house.

Yes and it sounds as if in the case you are talking about...a "good member" was because of being a partial celebrity. Did you ask the consultant about how average girls...non celebrities would be viewed?

Thanks, just what I wanted to see this morning. Let's talk about a bigger issue, those red shoes that girl above is wearing!

It would be intresting to see if the girl who started the question actually got in it or not. It sounds like she had already made her mind up so it matters not what we think, the pictures are there.

Haylee, I considered submitting for Playboy several times, once during college and a couple times shortly thereafter....(hell, if I wasn't so darn old I'd still like to do it!!!!!) But it would not be worth it to me to revoke my membership in Chi Omega, which I know would be the case. I know for a fact that if national were to discover it, they would take my badge and remove me from the rolls. In fact even my own chapter guarded this kind of thing pretty seriously; we had a sister who was chosen to be in this all-girl revue they had at a local bar (it wasn't a strip club but I think the revue was topless or close to it.) She took it to the chapter since she knew it would be well-publicized anyway; this particular revue did a lot of publicity and t-shirts were available with your favorite girl on them.....the chapter gave her the choice, either the revue or Chi O. Thankfully she chose Chi O but certainly it would have been equally understandable if she had not. It is a personal decision and I am not so sure I agree with the chapter's stance; maybe on a local level like that where everyone would know who you were, but if you were to pose for Playboy and not reveal your affiliation what is the harm? I guess the only way national would find out would be if someone "ratted" on you and they checked it out.....

I would say go for it....unfortunately once you get past about 24 Playboy doesn't consider a woman "babe material" unless she is already a celeb. I am turning 30 in May and I find it very depressing that I am considered "past my prime" when actually I think I am a lot "hotter" now than when I was 19. If you get chosen and your chapter says "It's us or them" then at least you have the choice. And if you do choose your chapter, at least you know that Playboy wanted you and felt you had the right stuff.

Good luck!!!!!!

ou know, back to miss november up there. I swear, that girl has the prettiest smile I have ever seen. And guys, you know it must be pretty cause I stopped looking at here DD TA TA's long enough to think to myself, wow, what a pretty smile.

I dont read it for the articles.

Representation of your respective greek org:

Well, heres my humble opinion. As long as she doesnt have her letters splattered all over the bio, I really dont see the foul here. And really, even then, if I was a national officer I wouldnt for a minute try to explain myself to anyone. I would be very, very proud of her. I'm sure others wont see it that way. What a opprotunity for them, even if they opened the door by opening their blouses. And its not as cut and dry as that but I hope you catch my drift.

To Miss November, Miss. Lindsey E. Vuolo. (34dd, 24, 35 whose turn ons include back rubs, sense of humor, intelligence, confidence, true love, good kisser and a nice butt) I think you are a very pretty lady and I hope that this will make all your dreams come true.

P.S.- I dont like cats either.

It's like a lot of other things in life in which there may be perceived benefits (modeling career, cash, whatever), but there may also be adverse consequences.

Is my memory faulty or didn't Vanessa Williams have to give up the Miss America Crown when it was discovered she had posed in Playboy? That didn't seem to hurt her career in the long run, though. How many former Miss Americas are as well known as she? A few, I suppose, but not many.

So, understand the potential outcomes and then make the decision that makes most sense for you.
