I do believe I wore that exact outfit for class pictures one year. My shirt had little charms of various French landmarks over the buttons...so chic!

Stretch pants -- I'm going with others who have mentioned the stretch pants and leggings with oversized sweaters
Pins/Buttons -- Did anyone else have like A MILLION different pins (political/entertainment/etc.) and buttons (different shapes and sizes) ALL over a jean jacket, tight-rolled jeans and a jean purse?
Ooh - y'all remember those little jean purses with different scenes on them? Scenes like a girl putting on lipstick with the quote, "Whatever you say........NOT!!!!!"
ETA: Ok - I've asked many people about this and everyone thinks I'm crazy. DOES ANYONE remember Multiples?????? Those clothes that were solid colors and there were maybe only five different pieces but you would wear them differently for different things. For example: the mini-skirt was also a tube top. The material was really soft and stretchy.
Also, shopping for them was part of the craze. You'd go to the mall and there would be a wall full of white tubes and boxes and you'd pick out your stuff from there.

Yup - we had a store like that called Units. It was fun at the time, but I'd never want to wear that look again! That store in the mall is now a MAC. I was in there the other day and while waiting for my makeup, I found myself giggling at all the times my best friend and I would go in there just to create really crazy combinations.

Jelly Shoes
Platform Tennis Shoes
Slap Bracelets
NEON anything (I once had a tank top that was lime green on one side and super bright neon pink on the other... why did my mother let me wear that!?)
Shirts with your name or any other message airbrushed on them

I had two pairs of Units pants, which I called "fancy sweats." Wore those suckers fairly regularly in the early 1990s.

I didn't know that people still rock the jheri curl! I saw this guy the other night with jheri curl juice dripping on his polyester suit. I thought I was having flashbacks of the early 90s.
Then I went to dinner last night and saw a woman in the restaurant wearing several pairs of earrings at the same time going up the earlobes from smallest to largest.
Individual braids with the little gold rings at the ends, or the burned ends are a couple more.

The puffy winter jacket - all the time, even in this heat... oh wait people still do it
Other than that -
leg warmers
those horrible little gym shorts for guys
speedos
tight ass acid wash jeans
Jeri curl mullets (a horrible combination of two bad ideas)
side ponytails
spandex (in it's many incarnations)
t-shirts over long sleeve shirts/sweaters

ROFLOLOLOLOLOL!
I was trying to find a picture to illustrate the image in my mind, when I found this on joesportsfan.com.
"Not only was Lionel a musical genius, he was also a pioneer in the world of hair. Lionel is the only known man to pull off the historic “superfecta of hair”, simultaneously wearing a jheri curl, mullet, ponytail and mustache all at the same time in the Dancing on the Ceiling video."
"superfecta of hair"??? LOLOLOL! Y'all I'm done for the night...DONE!

Ditto on the multiple earrings. Unfortunately, I still have the holes in my ears. Thank goodness you can't really see them.

If you're talking about the ones that are thicker up front, they're really good for your posture. I don't know that they were ever a fashion thing, were they?
