looking forward to see how Tyra changes things up for the all stars as they have done "this" before.
I'm also looking forward to makeovers-wonder who will freak out and cry?

Love, love Allison and Laura!!
I actually remember Brittany just because I think she could be Mandy Moore's long lost twin.
I only caught the last 30 min because the Survivor season premiere ran 90 min., but I'm looking forward to this season.
I feel like the girls in the middle seasons have the advantage. They've had time to work in the "real" modeling world, but aren't pushing over-the-hill for a model like the earlier girls. They're also recent enough that people remember them, but some of the polarity that Alexandria faced has died down, even 8th they weren't well liked in their season.
By the way, as silly as it seems to people about Shannon insisting on bikini bottoms rather than underwear, I understand her. My husband would feel the same way about one being MEANT to wear in public vs the other not, regardless of coverage area.

I'm rooting on Allison and Laura. I wanted those girls to win their respective seasons.

This and this.
That was really good! I'm excited for this season. The previews looked pretty exciting.

I can't believe no one's been in this thread commenting on Bre's makeover meltdown! Did they not expect makeovers...hello?
I was confused by Kayla saying she was the only LGBT...unless Isis self identifies as 100% woman and doesn't want to be associated as LGBT. If she does choose to distance herself from it, as an aspiring celebrity/entertainer, I believe that would be a mistake, since that's a huge portion of het fan base.
Laura and Allison were once again adorable in their pics and in the episode. I did like Lisa's pic, but the wacky has just become almost too cliché even for her.

I think the bolded is correct yet she is considered one of the more visible transgendered people in the media. From what I have read about her I do not think she is distancing herself from LGBT. Perhaps she does not want to be restricted (and relegated) to it and only known as "the LGBT...." As she always says, she thinks she was born in the wrong body.

I agree with this, but it still leaves me to wonder about Kayla's answer to the question of what makes her different than aaaaaaanyone else in the house. If she would have answered that she was a lesbian (bi? I didn't see her cycle so I don't know), that would be true, since Isis isn't lesbian or bi (actually, I guess she's never really said what her sexual preference is, has she?), but I would have thought she would have been more sensitive than answering that she was the only LGBT. I guess it doesn't matter, though, since she's free...from the competition.

Isis is a heterosexual woman. When she was younger she was considered a he who was a homosexual man.
I agree with you about Kayla's response. People tend to use LGBT like a title in which everything is lumped together. That's probably what Kayla was doing.
Kayla's free from the competition but not free from an Isis ass whooping if Isis is offended. LOL.

Personally, I think Bre looks better with her new hair and she needs to get over it. I'm really disappointed with Kayla. She was my favorite in her season, and she just seems so blah this time around. Laura is adorable as ever, but I don't feel like she is bringing the fierceness like she used to.
I hope that Bianca and Lisa get sent home soon, they both annoy the crap out of me.

"I'm at rage?" Ummmm it's makeover time and the girl who doesn't want to haircut gets a haircut. It's tradition! I think it looks super edgy and she can rock it to death with the right amount of Bre-sass. She'll get it together but I hope it's sooner rather than later.

I have watched very little of ANTM over the years, but something drew me into this one. I don't know any of their names so I'm going to describe as I remember them.
The holier than thou chick has to go. She's that bitchy superior girl you knew (and hated) in high school who for some reason still hasn't gotten over herself.
The LGBT chick - it's so last century. I don't think she gets that people don't care. OK, the Westboro Baptist Church cares. Everyone else has moved on. And I don't see anything special about her.
I thought the Korean girl had something. If they're looking for someone to do TV, I think she could have worked that out.
The freaky overly white girl really photographs well but I do NOT want to watch her interview someone.
Same with the super tall black girl with the oddly high forehead. Photographs great, but she gives me the creeps.
At least so far I don't see any of these women being able to do anything in the realm of what Tyra does. Or any of the people on E! who show a lot of personality. They all seem kind of flat to me. I guess this is where hopefully the show can transform somebody.

I can so relate to Bre. Before the...bad haircut, I couldn't really understand why girls flipped out over hair. And then some b*tch that I asked to shave THE BOTTOM OF MY BOB grabbed the clippers...and kept going. I have some hair on top, but there are literally days when I look in the mirror and want to cry, because I genuinely do not feel like "me." And if I took a year of covering it up, wearing bandanas, wigs, etc...and THEN someone gave me a really short haircut...well, I'd be pretty mad too.
But she does look good.
