Steelers vs Da Bears. Steelers win.
I kind of wish there were two more repugnant NFC teams in the running (like, say, the Cowboys and Eagles). The Bears and Packers are two teams I'll usually root for in other circumstances.

This year's offering - a rather tame version.
Steelers v. Bears, Steelers win.
A lot has been said about Ben & his antics, but no one seems to remember that the GB QB - the very one the NFL tries to keep as its media darling - has a tarnished halo, too. Besides, I wouldn't be thinking about a move to Chicagoland if there was even an inkling of tolerating the Packers.
*How do you embed a video, anyhow?

I thought Ben was a Frat-tastic douchecanoe when I lived in Pittsburgh, and while I find his actions abhorrent, it doesn't change how I feel about the Steelers.
Also, my coworkers are baffled by the fact that while I picked up the Steelers as a "team" in addition to the Bills (you guys can STFU about that right now, Jim Kelly was a GOD!) while I was living in Pittsburgh/Western PA, I did not pick up the Bears since moving to Chicago. My defense is that both boyfriends from that six year period were/are HUGE Steelers fans, even though Live-in is from here, so I have now spent almost 10 years watching every Steelers game we can (obviously, during the regular season here we can't see all of them). That and Jerome Bettis stole my heart in 2003.
My second line of defense is that I picked up the Blackhawks and not the Pens, so STFU.
Last part: Honey you're thinking of moving out here? To the city or to the area? My vote: City's way better *ducks*.

Could you remind me of the Aaron Rodgers scandal, please? I'm drawing a blank.
I'm a fan of his and I would say I consume more news than the average person, but I just must be one of those people who can't remember and/or the various news sources I rely on daily must have forgotten to report on this (probably because he's apparently a "media darling"?).

Black and gold all the way! I have to say though the Jets worry me, historically the games between them are usually pretty close. But honestly, I would MUCH rather lose in the championship than lose the Super Bowl. So if we win this weekend we better go all the way! Hear's hoping for a stairway to seven!
[Sidenote: Still haven't decided if it is acceptable to sport the Roethlisberger jersey again...between the bike accident and rape charges 1 and 2 I don't think I've touched it in years...]

When I'm not bleeding azure blue & white, I'm bleeding black & gold. It doesn't mean that, like you, I can't appreciate another team or player at times.
As for the city, there's one MAJOR sticking point - the handgun laws. I need to read the current ones first before I say a "must/must not". Having said that, I've never lived in an actual city except when taking training or such - I'm such a child of the suburbs! Plus, Beloved works in one (River Forest).

Yeah the handgun laws are a pain in the butt right now. I'm glad the ban got overturned but what they've got right now is completely whackadoodle.
But it's good to know that if I want to purchase one I can keep it at your house and we can go to the range together.

Sounds like fun! Do you know a club nearby, or do you have to join one?
