Oh Lord, ditto on both of those! And also ditto about saying (or being tempted to say) I know an XYZ, but it's really only from GC.

I'm all proud and happy when the PNM (there's usually one out of the entire bunch) who has spent all summer on GC asking questions, being polite and taking advice ends up getting a bid and being happy once recruitment comes.

Ex: I remember being like that when WCsweet and a few other girls went through.

At the dinner for our sister from Arizona (check out "Stories of Sisterhood" for the whole scoop) my sisters commented on my freakishly comprehensive knowledge of what is going on in the greek world, not to mention my mad "To which GLO does ___________ belong?" skills. GC, baby!

^^^^THIS! One of my sorors asked "how do you keep up with what's going on in the greek world post undergrad?" and I reply "GC" nonchalantly, as if to say 'you ain't up on that?' lol so sad

I usually just say, "My friend did/said blah blah blah" and don't explain that it was from GC.
