Talking

Even though we're not technically together anymore....

Brady and I met at my sorority sister's house one night. Her husband was a 2nd class Petty Officer at that time and they liked to have parties. I had been to a few already at their house but was not really impressed with the Coasties that I met there...until Brady walked through the door. I know this doesn't sound good but we got piss drunk over margaritas and Tequila, somehow found our way to the couch and we started dating 3 days later. What's funny is that 4 days after that he left for a 2 month deployment to the South Pacific. People always asked us how we met and when we told them they were surprised to see that we were still together after meeting each other that way. I left him on the couch that night without giving him my phone number, but he actually took the time to call around to get it. We were together almost 2 years but in reality he must've been gone 10 of those months on deployment. It's weird how you can go to a party as a single person and meet someone that'll totally change your life forever.

*Sigh*...the drama continues.

OK this is the story of how I met the guy that I love. *we're not together now though*

Ok a friend of mine that I went to school with came over to my house one weekend when my parents were out of town and brought along Trey*my love!!* Anyways we met that night but then a couple nights later a group of us were having a little party at my house and I called my friend to try and get us some alcohol well he told me to call Trey and gave me his number. So Trey came over that night and we actually kissed that night as a lil drunken dare from my best friend*this was like 2 years ago* and well after that we just got together He was the sweetest thing. Not a very good story but oh well

Nichole

No, he didn't propose 4 days after I met him, but four days after out first date. We had been working at the same place for about 3 months, but hadn't really started to talk to each other until about 2-3 weeks before our date. It was just right, I guess.

Profound, yes. But hey, when your job is as boring as mine is flipping bottles and setting drinks on fire serves to break up the monotany (however you spell it) Actually I have been at that restaurant for almost three years and I swore off dating anyone that worked there until I met my girlfriend. Somehow work and play dont mix in restaurants. I hate gossip, and even more hate to be the center of gossip.

You'll have to excuse the vaugness of that post. I was slightly hammered when I wrote it. At the time thats about all I could remember about meeting her. Looking up from that drink to see her standing there watching me.

Hail Alf.

My cousin was living with us after she graduated from hs (her family lived in another state). She had been dating this guy for 3 weeks when he asked my dad if he could marry her. Dad said not only no, but HELL NO! They got married a year later and have been married for .....whenever the day of the first Super Bowl was. 1967?

How I met my sweetie

Picture it: Louisiana Tech University Spring quarter of 93. Me and my sweetie were in the same class. At the time he had a girl friend and I had a boyfriend. But we were in this class(an aroebics class) and me,him, and three other people would also stand in the back row and complain about how stupid the exercises the teacher made us do were. We called ourselves the slackers.

Anyway, over the course of the quarter,me and my sweetie got to be really close. We went to some dance later on that quarter and after the dance, we sat in the quad and talked for a long time that night. The quad had lots of rose bushes and picked off a rose and gave it to me before he walked me backed to my dorm. So it's about two days before the quarter ends and I felt like me and my sweetie just has this chemistry going on,so I wrote him a letter. On the last day of class, he gave me his reply and we continued to write letters that whole summer. Also durning this summer, I broke up with my boyfriend and my sweetie had broken up with his girlfriend. So when we got back to school in the fall,we got together. And we have been going togeter off and on since then. And to this day we are the best of friends

Hmmm...

I think I've answered this before in another thread, but what the heck...

I was a Delt pledge at the time and also working at the university TV station. I was dating a couple other girls, including an Alpha Gam pledge. One night we were recording a promotion for a university theatre musical and I saw a picture of this absolutely beautiful woman in the cast -- all of the cast members were wearing leotards, which probably helped.

The next day in a Speech class, there she was, sitting in the front row in a very short yellow dress while I was doing a presentation in the front of the class. Short dress -- great legs -- flashing blue eyes. I waited for her after class (it ended at 5:00 PM) and invited her to dinner. At dinner, I found out she was singing with a local rock group.

A couple days later, the Delts and Alpha Gams had a "Tea" (that meant beer blast) at an off campus bar. (Third party vendors were a good idea even then) Naturally, I had already made plans to go with my Alpha Gam pledge date.

Well, we walked in and there were all of our brothers and sisters -- and they had hired a band.

You guessed it. Talk about a young pledge who wanted to crawl under a table.

Well, the relationship with the AGD Pledge was short lived, but the singer and I just celebrated out thirty-first anniversary last summer.

OK, this gets edited for content, but I want to share anyhoo...

My ex was pledging Sigma Nu, and he introduced me to one of the older guys in the fraternity (who is now my hunny). I didn't think much of Hunny at first, but as the semester went on, I began to notice how cute/funny/awesome he was-but what to do, since I was already dating someone..well, Hunny became my ex's Big, and finally I just couldn't stand it anymore, and at their formal (after many many beverages) I told him how I felt. Turns out, he felt the same, and about one month later we started dating..and now 3 1/2 years later we are still together..about to move in together..we've picked out a ring..oh, that boy is just the best...
