Then you can get over the fact that not everyone thinks Obama deserves it.

It is, in a lot of ways, akin to sorority or fraternity membership. It's like someone telling you that a Delta, who you voted into the organization, does not deserve to be a Delta. What would your response be? I am sure that it would be something like, who are you--an outsider--to tell me--a member--who deserves to be voted into my organization.
WE ARE NOT QUESTIONING HIS RECEIPT OF THE AWARD BECAUSE HE IS BLACK.

Ok, I will qualify, he deserves it in the eyes of the folks that get to make that decision, and, in this situation, they are the only ones who really count.

And you can get used to the fact that in the minds of those that count, in this situation, he does. :neutral:

I think that it is a great surprise to many and a wonderful honor for him.

I'm glad we've reached the point in the discussion where we are labeling dissenting opinions as "crazy."

Really? You're saying this to Little32, despite the fact that your other half said she was insane ?
This is a reference to post 51

Obama says he will accept the Prize as a call to action and a source of inspiration. Well, that's why the Award was awarded prematurely--it was an award for the promises of the Administration.
Kind of like awarding a gold medal to a swimmer before he jumps in the water in the hopes that it will push and inspire him to swim faster.

It demeans the significance of the award. But what else is new in this, "You're so awesome, Good Job!!" (even if you aren't, and it wasn't) era?

@kSig

You did see what we were referencing that to.

max (as well as the rest of the train) has arrived on time.

reason why you may not have seen it was bbecause he/she/it deleted their message before it was quoted...however

Ah, ok...if you're referring only to Gamma with the "crazy" stuff, then I withdraw my statement.
