I wish you had stuck it out and participated through preference and then made your decision. Even though the 2 Chapters you had left were not your top choices there really isn't a bad Chapter at ASU. They ALL have something to offer. I had a relative who had a similar experience and stuck it out. She joined a Chapter that was in a rebuilding phase and has had a wonderful experience AND made a difference in the Chapter. Her Chapter is now considered one of the "top tiered" houses on campus.

With the large release figures this year we are releasing wonderful women who would be great members. It is so much more restrictive with the new RF's we are given and I always feel like we are releasing some really great PNM's.

I hope you will look into AGD's recolonization or Spring recruitment. Not every house does it, but it is a lot less stressful. Good luck to you and don't be hard on yourself. If nothing else, use this experience to grow and learn a little about yourself.

Ditto, ditto, ditto. I was so bummed when they left ASU, I had some great friends who were/are AGD's at ASU. I'm thrilled they are recolonizing!!!!!

It's a completely different kind of experience to be part of a colony but you may want to consider looking into it. The recruitment experience is very different too. There are advantages and disadvantages to being in a colony, but you're building a sisterhood from scratch and there are leadership opportunities immediately too. It's just something else to consider, once you get over this initial disappointment.

I knew girls from the previous AGD chapter (colony?) How exciting that they're coming back.

I don't know if you'll read this but I'm really sad to hear you dropped. Rush was really hard and definitely emotionally draining. Maybe you could try spring recruitment or look into what the girls above said about the new colonization. If you need a massive hug let me know. It was a really rough week
