Decades ago when we lived in Houston, our Sat. night tradition was to order a Z's pizza (they only delivered) and watch the British comedies (Dr. Who, Good Neighbors, etc.) Boy, I miss that.

My fax pizza place(s) here south of Atlanta is called Milano's. I used to love Johnny's Pizza but I think they changed the rcecipe.

I've only been to Pizza Hut about 3 times in 6 years. Domino's is a desp. call, but they are only a couple of miles. With all the good reviews here, maybe I should call Papa John's.

I am a strict pepperoni and mushroom pizza with a Coke girl; hubby sometimes gets totally separate (read: yucky) toppings on his side.

Donato's

They've opened up one in the next town. I've only gone once.

You order at your table by picking up the phone and "calling in".
I got the basic pepperoni pizza...very thin crust. It was better than I expected ((I am very picky..)), but not great/memorable.
The menu was kinda limited.

I would consider it a lunch-time pizza place rather than a night-time place when I want a more substantial pizza.

The one here had a separate party room or so it seemed.

Guess I'd give it a 6..5

DeltaAlum. my hubby always prefers left-over cold pizza, double yuck!

I totally agree, and refuse to eat it, even if I am "starving"!

New York style pizza is the best! There are 3 places in my hometown that are run by the same family, and they are straight up from NYC, so theirs is the very best in FL. Of course the best place to get any pizza is in NYC.

For chains, I guess Pizza Hut is OK, but I probably just go there for their great salads.

I used to LOVE Godfather's Pizza-anyone ever heard of them? Are they still around? They had them in the South.

Now the best pizzas are at California Pizza Kitchen-I don't know if it is national or not, but they are in California (hence, the name). They have a Thai pizza that is great!

Pizza Connoisseur Here!

Pizza is my FAVORITE food. I crave it and can eat it everyday with no problem, so I consider myself an expert.

Local chains: Armands (deep dish, wonderful crust, sauce not too bad, they don't drench the pizza, actual stewed tomatoes in there); Pizza Palace (simple is usually the best, not fussed with, NY Style); Mamma Lucia's (the best sausage, it's sliced lengthwise, it's not the crumbled variety, great crust, excellent cheese to sauce ratio)

National Chains: Pizzeria Uno's: this has been my favorite pizza place my whole life. It's the best flavored crust and sausage and cheese. My favorite is the Classic with broccoli. Sbarro's: The best of the national fast food style. I will go to the mall to get a pie take out instead of ordering Domino's. I only order Domino's if I'm having lots of people over and wantthe bulk order discount, but even then it's the simple style: cheese or pepperoni.

My favorite pizza overall though is a little place on Merrick Blvd in Laurelton, Queens, NYC called J&S Pizza. It's Sicilian style, the best cheese, sauce, the sausage sliced lengthwise, it also has sausage rolls, and excellent calzones. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANY New Yawkas out there! Take the E train to the last stop, then take the Q5 bus to right before the border of Nassau Co., get off by the bowling alley, and walk across the street to possibly the most stimulating pizza experience of your life!

ugh i think national chains are absolutely disgusting. pizza pretty much sucks outside of nyc. i am biased, but ya gotta go to the bronx, and if not... try joe's downtown or grimaldi's at the base of the brooklyn bridge.
