I have 2 cats. One lives with me and one lives with my sisters.
My cat's name is Princess Kali or Kali. When I got her she was 5 weeks old, and was "sick". Her "sickness" turned in to pneumonia and she was in Kitty ICU. Her "sister" is Lilo.
I am thinking of getting another one just so Kali has a playmate since my sister will not give up custedy of the cat.

My beautiful (almost) 4 year old Alaskan Malamute.. Samantha. I adopted her from a rescue group and the poor gal is blind but she's the most loving, cuddly dog I've ever known!

During the craze - there was one years ago I might've been too young to be aware of it at the time - did anyone actually buy a pet rock?

Do my kids count? No.....ok, well then I have a 10 1/2 year-old German Shepherd/ Lab/wolf mix named Ajax (she's a girl) and my Christmas present, a 6 month-old Yorkshire Terrier named Maximus, Max for short (a boy obviously.) I worried a little bit about bringing Max into the household with Ajax because she could basically eat him in one bite. She is about the size of a typical female lab, but she is a little bit "special" because of the wolf in her. We once witnessed her tear the throat out of a Pit Bull that threatened my husband....yes you read that right. She weighs about 55 lbs and is fast as hell. Maxi is only 5 lbs, up over a lb and 1/2 from when we first brought him home.....nothing more to say about that. But he is fearless! He attacks her whenever and wherever possible and they play like old buddies.....it's pretty cool. I always wanted a lap dog (or what I affectionately refer to as a purse dog) and Max rocks!

The family dog has to be the world's oldest St Bernard. The Vet tells me that the average life span of a Saint B is 10 to 12 years. Kanga is 24 coming up on 25. She is in good shape, good vision and hearing, lots of energy and all around amazing. The Vet says she is nothing short of "the exception that proves the rule"! All of the pets live at my Dad's place (Yellow Lab - Sis's dog, Australian Sheep dog mix - Brother's dog, and my lowest common denominator mix who is the grandson of my Cousin's dog brought home from Viet Nam in 1970. They have space to run and play and Kanga runs them ragged! Whatta dawg!

i have a kitty cat at my moms house that i found homeless in my neighborhood... her name is cleopatra- but we call her cleo and she's all black with bright green eyes and has short hair- she is my pride and joy- i absolutely adore her!
at my dads- i have a huge mutt of a dog- his name is shaggy- i don't know if anyone watches discovery channel- but we actually got him through a program called "cell dogs" where they train unruly dogs to become family puppies- he's a very good dog too- excellent with my baby sisters that are 4 and 3 years old!

10-12 is actually old for a St Bernard. 25 is incredible. The oldest dog ever was an Australian Cattle dog that lived to 29.

Now, we didn't name him because of Rhett Butler, and my bf HATES when people refer to Gone With the Wind. He just really likes the name and the meaning - full of energy. If you've ever been around an Am Staff or Pit Bull you'd know they NEVER stop going!
