That is what the NPC Alumnae groups in my area do. We each have our Panhellenic dues worked into our overall Alumnae chapter dues. The system works well for us!

Thank you all for your helpful information in this thread! I've been asked to be a representative for the APH in my area, but I really didn't know much about it. I'll have to get more info about my particular group and see if I can get out and meet them.

Maybe I can get my friends from home to come, too! (An ADPi from GWU, a Theta from Arizona State, an AXO from UC Davis...)

Coordinating recommendations/requests?

I am involved with our local Alumnae Panhellenic and we are trying to figure out a way to coordinate recommendation requests. In our area, recommendations are not necessary, but we want to be able to help girls who are going to schools where they are. We don't have contacts for every local NPC sorority alumnae group--some simply don't exist in our area-- and are frustrated by our inability to help, especially when girls are specifically told to contact their local Alumnae Panhellenic for recommendations. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Get the individual members to find members of the groups you're missing through their specific school connections. If that fails, try contacting the group's national office.

^^ Yeah, that's what I would do. I have a friend who's an ADPi, so I asked her to write a rec even though we don't have any ADPi's in the alumnae panhellenic group. Sorry that wasn't terribly helpful!

Thank you both. It's a good suggestion, and that's probably what we'll have to resort to. I just found out tonight that we encountered this problem over the summer, so I'm trying to make sure we're not in the same spot next time. Guess I need to round up my friends now that I know it's a problem!

I was helping out a girl who asked for rec's from our AP. I think she may be out of luck for some groups, but hopefully she has another connection besides us. Yeah, I just looked at the groups that the school has...bummer!

This afternoon is the preliminary meeting of the Green Bay/Fox Cities Alumnae Panhellenic! From what I can count we have 13 NPC sororities represented at the collegiate level at 5 college/universities and I believe 10 alumnae chapters.

I took a look at it- it looks wonderful! But there's one minor issue- I think Alpha Chi Omega got morphed into Alpha Xi Omega in the cactus graphic.
