edited to say: DeltaBetaBlue, now that I know you're an engineer, I hate you, cause you go where I most wanted to go to school. UofI@Urbana/Champaign. I got a free ride here or whatever though, so my parents were like, let's not even waste the $100 application fee, you're going to UofL......Dammit!

First of all, get the name right! Secondly, I happen to be one of those lucky people who lives in the state of Illinois. I know a lot of people who went to other schools for engineering, and I haven't the slightest idea why. I am actually in General Engineering (#1 GE department in the nation), and everyone in my department has T-shirts that say
"You can't spell GEEK without GE"

LOL..Similar thing happened to me, well, sort of...My first choice school was ASU, applied, got in..but I had a full scholarship to UNM..my parents convinced me to stay here, so I could be an hour from home..could come home whenever I wanted etc...Following August my parents moved to Arizona..so now, yeah, I'm an hour from home..by plane!

I did the reverse, LOL, which is typical for me.
I had a full ride to the University of San Diego. But I chose to go to University of Southern California, where I only had a partial scholarship. Glad I did though! I loved USC, and 30 of my high school classmates (out of a class of 150) went to USD--I wanted to get away from those people! LOL

Let it go buddy. I'm an engineer too (although I'm biomed, some would argue that's not TRUE engineering, but i tell them to eat a bag) . . . what we lack in style, we make up for in stunning good looks, lots of future earnings, and . . . uh, significant torqueing produced by my unit vector, if you know what I mean . . .
I guess the point is - shaddup.

HUH?
Good lord My GC Freinds, I work morning, noon, and night for the last 3 days and find this thread
From reading this, I almost feel like George Wahington as the fatherly president of our Country but dont like cold water in winter!!!!!!!!!!
Actually I would like to be a combo of Slick Willie Clinton, JFK. and of course Harry S Truman ( My all time for best President )!!!!!!
As Pres. I would have to set up the largest unpaid cabinet in American History, but damn bet ya would have some great partys in the White House!!!!!!
Of course all of the cabinent would have to be Greeks!
