Hilary Clinton went to my high school, and when I was a senior she was First Lady, and she came to speak. Since I was in the band, we got to play and sit on the stage with her. The security was really something else!

Not famous to all, but my junior year of college I got to meet the Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity Grand President, she came to our province meeting which was being held at her alma mater.

Evelyn Glennie, the percussionist, was very polite when she signed an autograph for me after I saw her in concert in Pittsburgh. I've also met some authors in my career as a librarian: Ron Koertge, Sonya Sones, Theresa Nelson, Don Gallo, and Jean Ferris (they all write teen lit).

KappaStarboy is mildly famous...he was on an episode of "The Golden Girls" when he was a kid. There was an episode where Rose takes Dorothy and Blanche to a kiddie hot-dog restaurant for Dorothy's birthday, and he played one of the kids that was celebrating his birthday that same day (the character's name was Bobby Spina, he had red curly hair...still does ). There was an annoying clown in the scene, and Dorothy wanted to smash her cake in his face, but she didn't...that honor went to KSB.

I never believed that he had really done an episode of "The Golden Girls" until I visited his parents house and saw the picture of him with Bea Arthur and Betty White. He told me Betty White is very sweet, and that Estelle Getty thought he was really cute because KSB told her that his grandfather had a crush on her.

I went to summer camp with Natalie Portman (I have a video of us together in caberet... I was considering selling it on ebay ) as well as emily dreyfuss, richard dreyfuss's daughter, so i've met him, as well as mandy moore and ron howard, all at camp... oh and bijou phillips and mia tyler, liv's sister.

I've also met several random band members from bands only I seem to like....

Oh man! "Lovely Little" Janet was one of my first big TV loves -- along with Darlene and Annette (yes, in that order believe it or not) from the Mickey Mouse Club.

Met Alex Haley, author of Roots, in the early 1990s when I was writing for a newspaper in Tennessee. Went to his ranch, very cool fellow.

Went to college w/Mark McGwire and interviewed him, but only on the telephone. Went to elementary school with Mark McLemore, a journeyman MLB infielder/outfielder.

Okay, I'm adding to what I had originally posted. I met Mike and Coral from The Real World New York when they came to my school to do a lecture. Mike was cool and funny, but Coral was moody and not that nice. She complained that people always call her a b*tch because that's how she was portrayed on the show, but she really is one!

I've only met one REALLY famous person and that was Katie Holmes. I've also met Chris Klein, the band O-Town, and Hulk Hogan hahaha.....oh yea, and the band KISS too ....when they came to town the lead singer was sick so he went to see my mom (who's a doctor) and he gave her free backstage passes. Haha, it was interesting to say the least.

My HS band played at Boston's Symphony Hall with Keith Lockhart. Martin Short was there to perform, and Helen Hunt was in the audience. I stole her pencil. (hahaha)
I also met that almost-but-not-quite-a-hit boy-band "C-Note" when they came to my local mall years ago. I was shopping with my older cousin and one of them asked for her number.
I also met Matthew Broderick, Vanessa Williams, John Stamos, and Christopher Seiber (the dad from "Two of A Kind" *he's on Broadway now*) just by hanging around before and after shows in New York City. Most people don't realize that most of the theaters don't have a "backstage" entrance/exit. The actors walk right out of those big doors with the pictures on them!

If anyone here is/was a drummer in a marching band, I'm good friends with Tom Aungst (the Vic Firth guy). He teaches the Cadets.

*edited to add: OOH! I can't believe I forgot to include meeting Mikhail Baryshnikov at a dance conference! Oh, he is so AMAZING!*
