justamom,
funny you should mention Ford - i remember reading in one of my sociology texts that Ford's total assest would rank very high as a country, top 25 i think. This leads into my second point, with the advent of globalization, corporations have become massive conglomerates, exceeding state boundaries and international laws. Who's to say that one day we won't be citizens of Microsoft?

FALSE!

It's nice to think that if you read any anti-globalization literature, but the reverse is true. Corporations are under even MORE scrutiny and are much MORE regulated. And remember, it's people that make up a corporation.

I thought CCIGC presented the post more as a " hypothetical " (I happen to LOVE hypotheticals), not a fact, which makes this another interesting avenue of thought.

When you consider cloaked entities like the Trilateral, or the monopoly and absolute control Cargile has on grain, corporations may not hold the seat of power, but the "money men" may be more in control than we realize.

Cargile-If you keep any seed from your own harvest to plant the following year, Cargile can blacklist you and you may NEVER purchase seed again.

Ducks unlimited are so powerful if you get a sink hole ON YOUR OWN LAND, you can't fill it in with dirt because the ducks need it.

Wasn't it Dynergy that helped spur the California energy crisis by falsifying the lack of availability of power to residents and businesses?

We are on the brink of a world bank. Our stock market is so closely knit with Europe and Asia that if one falters, it affects all. Even Argentina's money woes have impact.

Remember the American soldier who refused to wear the UN insignia?

Water rights are slowly being taken away from individuals. Yet the pig plants are offering MILLIONS-Yes, MILLIONS to landowners
in my home state.

What in the heck was/is this symbolism of earh, wind, fire-Not the band but WHATEVER the symbols some brain came up with to represent all the world religions.

Trilateral- The following quotation of David Rockefeller, then Chairman of Chase Manhattan bank, speaking at the June, 1991 Bilderberg meeting in Baden Baden, Germany (a meeting attended by then-Governor Bill Clinton) is illustrative of the media control mentioned in the pages on culture, communication and control above:

We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. He went on to explain: It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries.

Water-Food-Energy-Militia-Money-Religion- Food for thought.

whatever rudey....legislation can't move at the speed of business. As soon as a resolution is passed that hinders a corporation's mobility, a new loophole is found.
