I watched the finale. There are 38 girls total on the squad. If they wanted 36, then they should have cut Kelly Jo and Loni.

Just watched it -- blah to Loni. She was SO bad compared to other girls... not a fan whatsoever. Loved everyone else though! Well Kelly Jo was just OK to me too, but yeah.

Abigail and the red-head (not the legacy) were my faves.

I loved Meredith Oden, and was pretty excited that Natalie and Candice made the squad this year. Kelly Jo was okay, but I just don't get the Loni thing. I've heard that during the kicklines Loni heads back to the sidelines. I just don't think she's as polished as the other ladies.

And don't forget Ryan, too. I'm so glad that last year didn't deter them from trying out again. My favorites rookies are Christina Murphey, Erica Jenkins, and Kristen Geuthier.

I like those performance outfits on the night before the game. I want one of those Barbie dolls.

I've been following this show since it premiered. I loved the Barbie dolls.

I totally don't get why they took Loni. I mean, Kelly Jo was okay and kind of "on the bubble" but Loni seemed to really struggle with the kick line toward the end.

I think Loni and Kelly Jo lucked out that Brooke was hurt. Why? Because without Brooke, the ideal-sized squad would have been at 35 isntead of 36, and they may have needed at least 36 for some reason. So then the issue becomes which of the bad kickers do you cut? Its not fair to cut one for kicking bad, and not the other. It's just a theory--because I can't figure out why they kept both those ladies. They have cut other people for less.

Of course, maybe Kelly Jo and Loni just have fantastic personalities or jobs that allow them to do all kinds of appearances--who knows.

Sorry for being so late on this one. My computer was out of service for almost 3 weeks, but they have the names of the finalists. Here they are:

Erica Jenkins
Abigail Klein
Dara McFarlane
Meredith Oden
Tobie Percival
Justine Phillips Orf
Ryan Ray
Meagan Sharp
Brooke Sorenson
Makenzi Swicegood
Ally Traylor
Trisha Trevino
Tia Williams

Rookies
Jordan Baum
Lauren Castillo
Krystle Chanley Jordan
Sunni Cranfill
Elaine Dunn Kathryn
Blaine Durso Sydney
Thornton Evans Brittany
Cathie Gonzalez
Jaymie Rae Hunt
Kaitlin Taylor Ilseng
Whitney Christine Isleib

Michelle Christina Keys
Brandi Kilby
Joannah Liad
Jennifer Lynn McMahon
Leah Anne Parker
Stefani Peterson
Amy Reese
Kelsi Reich

I was disappointed that Melissa Rycroft, Candace Carr, and Natalie Woods weren't on there. I wonder if Kelly Jo and Loni tried out. Judy Trammell's daughter is on the list. I wasn't that surprised that she would try out. I was also hoping that Nina Moch would try out again, but I bet that she didn't.

I wonder if Crystal and Trisha are related.

According to the CMT website MTT Message Board, Kelly Jo was cut; Melissa, Candace, & Natalie did not try out. Crystal & Trisha are sisters.

The most exciting part of the article on the official DCC website...

"As was the case for the last three years, CMT is again covering the DCC selection and training process in the "Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Making the Team" series which will premiere later this year. "

YEAH!!!!

I'm totally addicted to this show!!!

I have read on the CMT message boards that Alexandra Benviendos (sp) from last season, was arrested for flashing for beads in Mexico.

Natalie's not back?? :-( She was my favorite both the seasons she was on.

I always find it interesting that you have some girls who are almost "lifers" on the squad and then you have some who are one year and done. Especially girls like Natalie and Candace who got so close one year and then finally made it.

For those of you that are wondering about Starr Spangler from the two hour special in 2005, she will be on The Amazing Race which will air soon.

And the third season on DCC:MTT will premiere on October 4th at 9:30 eastern.

Well if DCC is anything like the Cardinals, I understand why.

I knew a Cardinals cheerleader. Their tryouts were just as long as DCC (3 months). They then practice 2-3 times a week (at night) for like 2-3 hours. They then had to arrive at the stadium 3-4 hours prior to the game starting for practice. Then the personal appearances. At the time I knew someone on the team they were making a whooping like 100-150 (if even that much!) a game.

I mean it was an incredibly time consuming activity during football season and they got very little compensation for it.

I'm sure DC ladies get more because of how famous they are. Its kind of like teaching, you do it because you love it not for the financial rewards of it. And if you are financially strapped (or in some of the girls cases maybe going to college), you might not be able to "afford" the time required to do it.
