>In an effort to prevent others from using Delta's name and reputation for personal gain, we are asking that all Sorors unite together and make it a point not to support events that are not connected to the convention. The committee in charge of entertainment for the National Convention has gone to great lengths to make sure our Sorors are treated like royalty when they come to the National Convention. For $20 you can purchase a VIP card that will get you into any of the sponsored events free until 11pm and half priced after 11pm. You don't have to wait in line with the general public because Delta's will have VIP access all night long at sponsored events. Some venues even provide one complimentary drink. We offer discounts with the taxi companies that will make sure you get back and forth to the events safely. We have several events each night depending on your preference. In addition to the regular club scene we will even provide events for Sorors not quite 21 and thir!
>tysomethings. Non-sponsored events will certainly not have these benefits. Best of all portion of the proceeds goes directly back to the sorority, unlike events hosted by non sponsors who use our name and retain 100% of the profits. There have even been some of our very own Sorors who are using the convention as an opportunity for personal gain and will try to throw events that conflict with our events, thus taking revenue from the sorority.
>
>Spread the word....Forward this to everyone you know who is attending the convention. You don't have to be registered to enjoy the night life Atlanta has to offer and it is a wonderful way for the registered delegates to unwind at night after a day of business sessions. We have a signed contract with club promoter Metro Boyz Entertainment. They have rolled out the "RED" carpet for us to make sure we have a great time while convening in Atlanta. Look for their logo on all promotional material you may see. Tell every Delta you know...NO LOGO...DON'T GO.
>
>If you have any questions or would like more information about the VIP events at the National Convention send an email to
collegiate_events@yahoo.com. VIP passes can be purchased at a special booth in the World Congress Center (where convention activites will be held) and will come complete with an entertainment guide listing all of the sponsored events and discounts.
