I guess they could! And I bet that at this time of year, they'd prefer to play in Valdosta!

BlazerCheer would say--Bring on the Delts!

Funny story! I forgot to say the mascot I was talking about that did the 70 pushups is now a buddy of mine and a TKE alum (only TKEs could do that many pushups, right zntke? ). He is always telling stories about the quite spirited and hilarious fights he would get into with the other mascots. But the fights weren't what he loved the most, it was the younger Bearcat fans. He's an elementary ed major and was so good with and such a sweetheart to the kids, they absolutely loved him!

Thrillhouse,

Alabama is good.

Although it's been mostly in the 50's and 60's in Eastern Colorado for the past several weeks -- which is not uncommon. Problem, of course, is that it could turn cold and snow at any time -- then be back up in the 50's. Great football weather -- for the most part.

Carnation,

The Northern Colorado Delts have an interesting background with cheerleaders. Four or five years ago they decided not to double up with another fraternity and a sorority at homecoming (less sororities than fraternities), and since some of the Delts were cheerleaders (don't even start on the gay thing, guys -- these guys are gymnasts, hockey players and track team members, staying in shape), the chapter teamed up with the cheer squad for Homecoming. They won two years in a row!

Damned creative of them, I thought, and several of the guys got Homecoming dates with the Cheers -- yes, the female ones!

I haven't been very active with the chapter for the past year, so I didn't realize the football team was doing that well this year. Around here, it's hard to see past Colorado, Colorado State and Air Force.

YEAAAAA!!!! We can't wait for the game! And to see cutesie-wutesie little BlazerCheer cheering on national TV!!!!! I hope she doesn't read that.

Let's hear it for teams from Georgia! Besides Valdosta's championship game, Georgia Southern is in the national championship for Division 1-A and at this moment, Georgia is winning the SEC championship game!

GEAUX (GO) DAWGS!!

To the Sugar Bowl!

And Ga. Southern beat Maine ( (.

And Western KY won too!!

I couldn't think anything better than to have the Dawgs beat FSU in the Sugar Bowl since cute Coach Richt used to work at FSU. We'll find out tomorrow if it is FSU or Southern Cal.

Where the heck is Grand Valley State??? Are they playing there for the championship game?

Grand Valley is in Michigan. We play them in Alabama next Saturday at 4 pm on ESPN 2 lie I mentioned earlier.

Another mod and I were hoping for this match up. I go to Valdosta as anyone can see. The other mod goes to Grand Valley. Can anyone figure out how I am talking about?

Go DAWGS!! I knew they could do it. Its a shame UGA can't play a better team like Iowa or USC.

The funniest thing about the VSU game was right after it when the VSU fans tore down the uprights. Never thought I would see that at VSU.

It's reasonably close to Grand Rapids, Michigan in the Western part of the state, as I recall.

We have a nephew who was on their football team a few years ago. He was only there a year and decided he would rather be in the work force than in college.

I think he caught one pass during his college career.

Kentucky is possibly wanting VSU head coach Chris Hatcher as offensive cordinator. That is funny, because Hal Mumme was head coach of VSU before he went to coach Kentucky. He took Chris along with him and made him QB coach there. After Mumme left Kentucky because of NCAA violations Chris came back to VSU as head coach. When he came to VSU he took 2 time Harlon Hill winner Dusty Bonner with him from Kentucky. I am suprized they might want him back. I know some of the football players said that an SEC team is also looking at Chris as a possible head coach. Chris is only 29 so that would be quite a feat. Chris has only lost 3 games in his 3 year career at VSU.

wait a minute!!

This is exciting. . .

I didn't know that VSU had a good team. When I was there, they weren't too bad but they weren't good either. I remember going to the games and sitting there with my friends who were in sororities.

And then, we'd stop at the fraternity houses on Greek Row for *celebrations*. . .

GO BLAZERS!!!!
