"Posh and Becks are incredibly famous. They're the couple of the moment in this day, like Mary and Joseph were the couple of that moment."
Diana Moon of Madame Tussauds.

(CBS/AP) Christian leaders on Wednesday denounced a Nativity scene at a London wax museum featuring soccer star David Beckham and his wife Victoria, a former Spice Girl, as the parents of Jesus.

"Posh and Becks are incredibly famous. They're the couple of the moment in this day, like Mary and Joseph were the couple of that moment," says Diana Moon of Madame Tussauds.

The waxwork tableau at Madame Tussauds museum included President Bush as one of the three Wise Men, actors Hugh Grant and Samuel L. Jackson as shepherds and Australian disco diva Kylie Minogue as an angel.

Man, I had this 45 record.....

Follow-Up: ’We Are The World’
With January 28th marking the 20th anniversary of "We Are the World," plans are underway to "recreate" the musical phenomenon that brought to together everyone from Bob Dylan to Ray Charles, Michael Jackson to Bono. Except this time, the lineup could be more like everyone from Usher & Alicia Keys, to Kanye West. It's called 'We Are the Future,'" and, rap star/producer Jermaine Dupri is behind the project. He promises to “try to recreate, follow in the footsteps of those who made a big record before, like Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie." "We Are the Future," the working title, is a new song--not a remake or reworked version of "We Are the World." Just like "We Are the World," "We Are the Future" will help raise money for children in "embattled countries" all over the world. The "We Are the World" effort concentrated on famine relief in Africa. Quincy Jones is also spearheading the new campaign—as he did 20 years ago. Dupri has floated names like Usher, Kanye West and Jay-Z as possible performers for the new recording. Presumably Jermaine’s gal Janet Jackson would also be involved. On Jan. 28, the 20th anniversary of its recording of‘We Are The World,’ organizers are working on getting to get the original song played simultaneously on radio stations across the world. A 20th anniversary DVD is due out Feb. 1. Sales will benefit the still-around USA for Africa. But this time out, the organization will focus on funding programs fighting AIDS in Africa, as well as hunger and homelessness in the United States.

 | There is NO WAY that they can "recreate" "We Are The World." Some things should NOT be tampered with. Just like they tried to "recreate" Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On?" this song will be a flop. We are dealing with a new generation of adolescents and young adults. They are not inspired and moved to try and change the world. Young people today just seem lost and unconcerned with anything that won't bring them fame and fortune. I don't even think that the message will get across.

I can still remember to this day how "We Are The World" made me feel everytime I heard it. That song changed my life at the time and I still believe in the message. Will this "remix" have the same effect on people? I don't think so. It will just be another Hip-Hop/R&B collaboration. Where are the other big name, non-Hip-Hop/R&B performers to bridge the gap? What about Norah Jones, Linkin Park, Tim McGraw, U2, Celine Dion, Josh Groban, and all the other performers that can reach a wider spectrum of citizens? What else do these performers plan to do besides drop a few lines on a hit record? Are they going to donate some of their OWN money? Are they going over to visit and volunteer?

I will be getting my anniversary copy of the DVD though! I want my students to check it out. Maybe it will inspire them like it inspired me.

Fingerprints of Michael Jackson and of the boy accusing him of child molestation were found on pornographic magazines seized last year in the raid of Neverland Valley Ranch, sources told the News-Press on Friday.

Authorities are also looking for fingerprints on wine bottles seized during the Nov. 18, 2003, raid, the sources said.

It's not clear what role the fingerprints would play at trial if they were admitted as evidence.

The prosecution would be expected to point to the fingerprints as proof that Mr. Jackson gave the boy alcohol and showed him pornographic material before allegedly molesting him.

However, the defense would likely say the forensic results do not support the allegations because the boy could have drunk wine and perused the X-rated magazines without Mr. Jackson's knowledge.

Sources say the boy and his brother were often at Neverland when Mr. Jackson wasn't there.

Mr. Jackson, who is out on bail, has pleaded not guilty to child molestation and conspiracy charges.

Other forensic evidence is expected to be presented at trial, scheduled to begin on Jan. 31.

Tests recently revealed that DNA taken from Mr. Jackson's mattress did not match the accuser's DNA. Authorities took a DNA sample last week from Mr. Jackson through a saliva sample.

So far, the prosecution has served more than 100 warrants to search through everything from bank and telephone records and a storage facility to raiding the homes and offices of Mr. Jackson's associates.

Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville is expected to decide in mid-January what evidence he will allow prosecutors to present to jurors.

Prosecutors are also expected to put the boy, his brother and their mother on the stand. Each testified in April during the grand jury proceedings.

The brother told grand jurors he was a witness to the molestation, and his mother alleged she and the children had been kept at Neverland against their will, sources said.

The defense team has already questioned the mother's credibility and mental stability. Mr. Jackson's lawyers will also likely question the boy's behavior, particularly his alleged involvement in a shoplifting incident.

That incident in August 1998 resulted in the mother filing a lawsuit against J.C. Penney Co. alleging that a security guard attacked her and her children and molested her.

In a confidential psychiatric report obtained by the News-Press and NBC, Dr. John Hochman stated the mother was delusional and that medical and police reports did not support the allegations.

The psychiatrist, who was hired by the J.C. Penney defense team in that civil case, also noted that the boys appeared to have been coached before the interview.

The Jackson criminal defense team will likely use this to show the boys may have been coached in the Jackson case and to show the mother's alleged pattern of making up claims for financial gain. J.C. Penney settled the $3 million lawsuit for $137,000.

I'm so tired hearing about Micheal I could scream. I wonder when this whole thing is going to stop. Sometimes I wonder if they are trying to find something that will go with anyone's story.

So is the world suppose to be in shock because they found some x-rated magazines in his house. I don't get it.

We Are the World was an EVENT..not just a song..... There are not enough quality performers in this day to even make it substantial... Jermaine Dupri is no Quincy Jones.. Q has worked in so many genres of music..Jermaine does not have the talent to produce a remake......don't even let me get started on Usher, Janet, and Kanye.... Didn't everbody know MJ and Bruce Springsteen parts with Cyndy Lauper hollering from the background......just classic

Hip-hop star NELLY has finally confirmed reports he is dating R+B singer ASHANTI, after over a year together.
The HOT IN HERRE hitmaker, 30, began his secret relationship with the 24-year-old FOOLISH beauty in November 2003.

SAMUEL L JACKSON told reporters earlier this week (begs06DEC04) the rapper had been a regular visitor to the set of his forthcoming film COACH CARTER, bringing organic vegetarian meals to Ashanti, who also stars in the movie.

Nelly reluctantly admits he is romancing Ashanti, saying, "She's single and I am single. Have we dated? Yes. We enjoy each other's company and we're cool."

				OH LAWD...

Things heat up between Brandy and Robert Smith: Paternity test request2 hours, 32 minutes ago

By Danielle Gaines, Associated Press Writer

Los Angeles, CALIF- R&B singer Brandy has a lot more then a new wedding to plan these days. According to her “Ex” husband Robert Smith’s publicist; she’ll have to plan an appointment for a paternity test. Smith announced that he and Brandy were never actually married a few months ago while promoting a new artist over the radio.

Smith has doubts on the child, Syrai, is actually his or not.
“It was always in the back of mind, but I got so caught up in everything and it all just happened so fast.” is what Smith told a family friend when asked if he always felt that Syrai wasn’t his.

Industry insiders believe that Brandy was in fact pregnant before she even intimately involved with Smith. During her down time Brandy was spotted several places with her current fiancé Quentin of the Los Angeles Clippers as well as Beverly Hills restaurants with L.A Lakers player Kobe Bryant.
“Brandy and Kobe have been friends for a long time and yes, she was there for him a lot of times when he needed someone to talk to and Robert never had a problem with that. He understood their bond.” is what Brandy’s former manager Benny Medina had to say.

A close acquaintance of Brandy’s even alleges that Brandy’s father used the church money from his congregation to pay Robert to go along with everything.
“If the baby was Kobe’s there’s no way Kobe would want any part of that because he’s married. So Willie and Sonja used Robert as a scapegoat to save Brandy’s image and her deteriorating career. Robert was fine with it then, now he’s just bitter.” Says the acquaintance.

Bryant , who was recently acquitted of rape charges, denies that he’s been anywhere with Brandy in a long time. “Brandy is going through a tough time right now, and I wish her the best” is all he had to say.

Brandy’s family had no comment when asked if Brandy will go through with the paternity test. Sonja Norood, Brandy’s mother responded with” We are busy trying to plan a wedding and prepare for Syrai’s birthday party”
