I tried in vain to wait three weeks before I started reading again, hoping that the episodes would get better. But that was "death by a thousand cuts" bad. 
I too think it needs to go to bi-weekly or monthly because apparently this author's writing mojo seems to get lost somewhere.

Glad I took up reading the old ATSB stuff. Seriously, I forgot a few things, so the stories were pretty enthralling compared to the new ATSB. I only got up to Season 3 before having to return to the real world.
