I've lost a total of 12 lbs. I was almost to 13 lbs, but I've regained a bit. But the 12 is still cool, our leader gives out the normal five pound recognition things that keep me going, but she also gives out little stickers of turkeys everytime someone loses 12 lbs. It's kinda cute.

Talking *BUMP*

I haven't posted here since May. Glad to see everyone is doing well. I'm not doing WW anymore. Decided to save my 13 bucks and do my own thing..... sort of a WW/low carb thing. Lost 3 pounds so far.

Keep it up everybody.

I went to my meeting today after missing last weeks because of vacation, and I didn't eactly have a great week this week, but I only gained 0.4 pounds. Not too bad. Easy to take off.

I am sorry that I haven't posted on this thread since May 11. I had left WW and joined Jenny Craig. So far, I had lost 15.6 pounds and a jean size. I am approaching my halfway goal. I admit the food is a little on the pricey side, but it is not a permanent thing (they do wean you off the food). It is a delicious way of teaching portion control. I do go out to dinner and brunch once a week each. I get private weigh ins and one on one consultations. I also intend to apply most Mediterranean (sp?) diet principles after I complete the maintenance part of the program.

my uncle is on WW

my uncle started WW (doing the point system himself, no meetings) a little over a month ago and hes had amazing results!

he has dropped from 230ish to 209 and it really shows! he dropped 4 holes in his belt and looks much thinner in his stomach and his face.

he eats a one egg omelet for breakfast and usually sushi (california rolls and miso soup) for lunch, with an orange as a snack. i'm not sure what he has for dinner, but he tries to use most of his points at dinner time. (i know what he eats because ive been working at his law firm this summer lol)

he tries to eat fish when he eats out.

BUUUUUUUUTTT what i think is the key to his rapid weight loss is the fact that he works out a lot. he rides his bike to the beach (~14 miles round trip) on the weekends, sometimes with his 3 year old son on a seat in the back (he refers to his son as "the 40 lb weight") and he's hit a plateau so hes tryign to bike before work too.

the pounds are pouring off.

i know its hard, but exercise makes a huge difference.

good luck everyone, you can do it!!!

Hi everyone--
Well, on week 2, I lost 2.4 pounds, which brings my grand total to
8.4 pounds!

But last week(after my weigh in) and this weekend, I did a little cheating(damn baby shower brunch with yummy biscuits!!), so I am hoping that my Wednesday weigh in won't be to bad. Even if I lose a little, its better than gaining!

Congrats to everyone that has lost and good luck to those coming back on! You all are my inspirations, even if you don't know it : )

Okay, I think this is the last straw.

I really need to go to the gym.

I have resolved I am going to start tomorrow and I am going to go in the morning (like someone suggested).

Now any ideas how I keep myself motivated to go???

ETA: I'm going to start off slow. I'm going to just go 2 days a week and some walking on my lunch hours. Hopefully I can work it up to 3 maybe 4 days a week.
Since I hate the gym so much I don't want to burn myself out too quickly.

Once you see that going to the gym is helping you that will probably motivate you. I also find that if I schedule my time at the gym during a time that I can't get lazy and flake it helps me. Also, change around what you do at the gym for excerise. I find that if I do the tread mill 5 days a week, I get very board, but if I switch it off with the stair stepper, and the bike I don't get board as fast.

Don't know if I posted earlier in this thread or not - probably. I have been successful on WW before - losing about 15 lbs. Of course, I then decided I looked fab and have slowly put it all back on and a few extra to boot.

When I went wedding dress shopping I thought I looked just great in my dress (A-line dresses hide a multitude of flaws!). Then I saw the pictures, and while the bod was hidden enough, the double chin was not!! Yikes! So I've started back on the points. I lost 4 lbs the first week and 3 last week. And in each of those weeks I had a night of over-indulgence. So, I know now that the weight will be coming off much more slowly now, but at least I started strong!

And since I'm not getting married until May next year, I'm already prepared to lose my 20 pounds, gain a few back at the holidays, and then get it back off in time for the big day! I have to plan ahead for this stuff ya know!!!

Good luck and congrats to all!

my total is 32.8 lbs so far. I am wearing a size 20 in jeans down from a size 24/ 26 so I am happy with that. I still am not perfect and last week was my bday so I had a peice of cake, but if I keep doing this I think I will do really well. I have a friend at work who has lost 120 lbs on WW in 18 months!

YAY!!! Good for you!!

I have been so bad. I haven't been to WW in a while and I've fallen off the wagon. The last meeting I went to the leader was saying how meetings are important. While some people can follow the plan on their own. most can't and by skipping meetings you're not really getting all the benefits of WW.
I can certainly attest to that. If I'm not going to meetings I can slip so easily. That's what happened last time. I missed a meeting, fell off the wagon and I felt so gulity I didn't want to go back.
