It feels a little selfish to ask for this prayer in light of so many others suffering from illness or sadness...
Please pray for me to lift my test-taking anxiety so I'm successful on the GMAT!

I don't want to go into a lot of detail, but please pray for me and my b/f. He has 2 kids who we have every other week (Friday-Friday). Today, my b/f's sister called CPS. These kids are so neglected and I'm praying that we (rather him, but we live together) get custody of them.
We went back and forth on what to do about the situation. We were hoping things would get better, but they really don't seem to be.
Please keep me, my b/f and his kids in your thoughts and prayers.

Hey guys. I've been searching for a new job......the one I'm in now is breaking me down. I can't stand going to work in the mornings, so I've got to do something.
I'd like to go to grad school, looking into that at univ of south carolina. Plus my bf is there for grad school now. I want to be near him, but I also need to do this for me too, ya know?
I'm struggling with my parents, because they don't seem to understand my need to move away, and get out of the house. I need to spread my wings and do my own thing.

My ex boyfriend's dad passed away last night. He was a preacher at a church back home but the family is from Deleware so I have no idea what they are going to do now.

(I just realized that I don't know your "real" name!) Of course, I will pray for your ex & his family. If I've learned anything about grief, I've learned that you hurt until you're raw, then suddenly there comes a day that you can fully appreciate that they are with the Lord, and if you truly loved them, you wouldn't bring them back to this cesspool called earth for anything.
"Heavenly Father, please hold my sister in Your arms, hold her close as she goes through this hard experience. Please be with her in an especially loving way, and please be her Abba, her Daddy, as she longs for the peace that passes all understanding.
Please bless her former boyfriend and his family as they grieve for their earthly father, and let them also know Your peace. Please remind them of his earthly calling, and how it is now coming to fruition in You. We ask this in the name of Your beloved son, Jesus Christ. Amen."
May our Lord bless you richly, not just with peace, but also with that Christman man who will be THE ONE that the Lord has planned for you!
Love,
Honey

Please keep me in your thoughts as I am interviewing for a new JOB! I had the second of 4 interviews today and the hiring manager informed me I am the top candidate for the position. She has narrowed it down to 4 people for 2 openings...I will be going on the 3rd interview on the 12th. If I get this job...I would move to Pittsburgh, make beaucoups of $$, be closer to a certain boy , and really get a chance to do a job I would love!! So let's hope I stay the top candidate for a few more interviews.
Shannon--I hope everything is good in montreal! If I am in Pitt I can come visit you EASILY!!

Hurricane Katrina Volunteers
My cousin, Monica, left today to be a nurse in Louisiana. She's flying into Alabama, and will be bussed into New Orleans from there. She's married, and has 3 kids, but really felt that the Lord was calling her to go. She's the Nurse Manager at a nursing home, and they're giving her three paid weeks to go, as well as supplying her with many necessities, including cell phones.
If you could remember to pray for Monica and the other thousands of people who are leaving their families to help the victims of Katrina, please do so. We're all praying for their safety, and that they don't catch any or bring any disease back. Also, their families who are going to be struggling without them need prayer.
Frankly, I'm in awe of Monica for doing this. She has such an easily hurt heart, such compassion, and I know she's going to experience things that will change her life forever. I hope and pray that she can handle this emotionally, as well as physically. God bless all of those who are giving of themselves, in any way!
ETA: Just changed Monica's location, as we found out that she's definitely going into New Orleans for triage, etc, by tomorrow, since she's a nurse.

We'll be praying hedges of protection for Monica. Please give us updates if you hear from her, as well as letting us know when she's safely home!

Thank you, Belle & everyone else!
Monica had a moment to call, she's in Gulfport, Mississippi, and says that it's terribly odd to be in a place that's completely flat - no buildings except where they're "stationed". She's been placed with two other nurses & a doctor (all from CA), and they're in what sounds like a small warehouse that had no roof, but now has a tarp over it. This will be for her first week, then she'll be reassigned. She seems very upbeat (according to her mother) and is laughing with the other nurses - a great sign! IMHO, being able to laugh during trials ("laughter through tears is my favorite emotion!") is good for the soul.
I can't tell y'all how much it means to me, to know that y'all are praying for Monica!!!! I pray that y'all are blessed ten-fold for this!!
