Martha Madison takes over as beloved ingenue “Belle Black” on NBC's number one daytime drama, Days of our Lives.

Born in Newport News, Virginia and raised in Houston, Texas Martha has two older sisters and two younger brothers. She started acting at the age of 6 at the Actors’ Theatre of Houston.

Each summer, as all her friends headed off to camp, Martha chose to stay behind and take theatre classes. “It was way better and still is!” she says. Martha graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University in August of 1999 where she also was captain of the dance team. She cannot remember a time in her life when she wasn’t involved in dance. After college she attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.

Martha’s professional credits include a 4-day stint on NBC Daytime’s Passions as “Lola the cocktail waitress” and an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Martha also appeared in the feature film Kate and Leopold with Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman. Her goal in life has always been to be a soap star on her favorite show, Days of our Lives! “Have faith beyond the explainable” she says, it certainly helped her dream come true! Julia Roberts, Meg Ryan and Drew Barrymore are her favorite actresses; “they simply glow with charm and fun.”

Martha lives by the saying “to thine own self, be true.” She is single and loves to hike the local canyons and hang by the pool with her friends. Martha lives in Los Angeles.

I don't think original Belle was all that great. But we were used to her. Wasn't she the original teenage Belle? Cause like on day they were 5 and the next day they were in high school?! I think she just played the whole twu wuv/obsessed with Sean role and goody too shoes a lot.

But DEFINITELY!!! like this new one better than that other one!

This was so disappointing. I can't promise that I'll be watching the show on August 30, especially if they kill off Chloe and put Brady with Nicole.

Chloe's limo was in a car accident.

THEN they showed five minutes of previews:

Phillip tells Belle how he really feels, and Jan tapes it. Shawn finally seems to escape his cage.

Mimi still thinks she has cancer.

Bo cracks the code that Roman has been sending him, and interrupts John and Kate making out on her desk. He announces that they are all alive.

Jennifer has the baby.

Nancy comes back and tells Brady that "Her little girl is gone."

I haven't watched it too much, just a few episodes recently.

-Jan has captured Sean D
-Mimi had a cancer scare, but she's ok now
-Bo and John managed to get on the island
-Jennifer had her baby and is in critical condition with the others on the island
-Belle and Phillip are at a hotel together and they want to jump eachother's bones, but Belle is still pining away for Sean D
-Chloe was in an accident or something in another country
-Brady misses Chloe, but Nicole is trying to jump his bones.
