Is she going to fight the decision (assuming that this is TLCs or Jon's decision?)

Here's the full first part of the episode with Nancy. NOW you can see what a psychotic child she is. None of this shit is her business. I don't understand why Jon didn't just walk off but kudos to him for staying up there and dealing with it.

Nope, still love it. At least someone has the balls to tell Jon what a piece of shit he is.

Does it really count if the person doing the telling is a far, far superior piece of shit?

Well, Jon got his wish. No more show. Now he needs to go and find a job that will afford alimony and child support for 8 kids. Because you know Kate's going to drag him over the coals for his part in closing the show.

It seems like his lawyer was a bit behind on all of this - if it was filed with the MD court, I would assume that means he's already been served with summons and complaint (although I'm not an expert on MD civil procedure).
PM_Mama - as the others have said, it's a breach of contract claim. There were probably parts of the contract where TLC outlined how Jon & Kate could refer to TLC and the show in their public appearances. There may have been some general "code of conduct" provisions.
One thing that's interesting to me is how people are either very much pro-Jon or pro-Kate. I understand how it's the American way to choose sides in these things, but it's just kind of funny. In my mind, both of them made mistakes - it's not surprising, in that neither appear to be all that intelligent (although Kate seems to have better PR and media relations people), but they certainly have the public choosing up sides.

Haha, yeah, that works too.
The thing is, this story's not going to die - at least one of the kids will grow up to be a total mess from all of this and become the Lindsay Lohan of the next generation. It's tough enough seeing your parents go through a divorce - I can't imagine how tough it is when they're doing it in the media, and when both are actively using the media to make the other look like a horrible person and parent.

I was just talking about this last night and comparing it to the Dionne Quintuplets mess. Those girls grew up to be either trainwrecks or in a convent (and the rest of the family was equally messed up from all the attention). This was back in the 30s - apparently those who cannot remember the past, yadda yadda yadda.

My dad asked me the other day, "Who are Kate and...and..." and I said, "Jon?" I explained how they have all these kids, and it's their real life, not a sitcom. Hah oh parents!

As in who cares that Jon pissed off TLC? Should you keep your kids on TV because you're afraid to piss off a network? NO. Kate is a dumbass for wanting to keep her kids on the show longer.
Also, had you heard about the court case before commenting, Jon said he didn't want to fight Kate over custody so it's not like the courts said "Kate's a better parent".

I would have more respect for Jon's decision to not allow them on tv if he did it for the good of the kids, rather than because he was having a hissy fit.
As for him not fighting custody, I assume that is because HE thinks that Kate is the better parent. It they were my kids, I wouldn't STOP fighting.
