Oh, Dallas. You never cease to amaze me.
Homeless man jailed in theft of chicken nuggets from Wendy's in Dallas
A 22-year-old homeless man accused of trying to steal six chicken nuggets from a northeast Dallas fast-food restaurant Sunday night faces a robbery charge, police documents say.
Marquis Marsh Marquis Marsh walked into a Wendy's restaurant in the 6000 block of Greenville Avenue near East Lovers Lane about 9:30 p.m., jumped over the counter, grabbed the nuggets and jumped back over the counter, knocking over the cash register, the documents said.

Now, I don't condone theft, but really? They chased dude down for 6 nuggets?

That he stole them from Wendy's is a crime by itself. LOL

Wendy's nuggets went hard when I was 22 lol
If I was gonna steal some nuggets now, though, they'd be Mickey D's Chicken Selects

Wendy's nuggets cut over a Wendy's side Caesar salad is STILL good.
Wendy's fries dipped in a frosty is STILL good.
I haven't had either in a couple of years.

If I were in labor while driving and the baby was coming, my first instinct would be to pull over, not put on the cruise control...but that's just me.

I don't feel like pasting so in a nutshell: A little homeless boy in NY said Chad85 was his fave NFL player. He was part of Children Mending Hearts where he got to make a wish. His wish was to go to football camp, which was granted by Deion Sanders. Just to give him and extra special something, Chad85 gave him a jersey, met him in person, and had the crowd sing happy birthday to him (it was little kid's b-day).
While all of that was very touching....wouldn't offering something to him and his mother that pertains to THEIR HOMELESSNESS be even more touching? A jersey and a ticket to football camp are extremely touching, but COME ON. If you're going to go above and beyond, meeting his more immediate needs would have made just as good publicity.

Honestly, I disagree. That kid didn't wish for a home for him and his mom and it's about him. Without knowing the reasons for his and his mother's homelessness, we can't say how easy it would be to fix them. Chad gave him the jersey as a separate thing after getting a letter from the kid and showed up at the fundraiser for the foundation not at the kid's house.
At-risk kid gets incredibly special experience. Awesome. Doesn't mean he's not also getting other help, but this story is about his wish, not about his life.

I too thought it'd have been nice if someone had thrown in a house. Meeting a guy for a day...great. A house when you're homeless has still got to be a bigger self-esteem booster.

But if you can't afford a mortgage or rent, or property taxes, or utilities, a house is useless. Kind of like the Extreme Home Makeover families who had to sell their homes to pay the property taxes.
It looks like the nonprofit foundation works on things like that, the wish is supposed to be pure fun. We wouldn't expect the Make a Wish kids to get a funeral plot along with their Disney world trip, would we?

Georgia candidate for governor says sex with mules, watermelon behind him
Quote:
|
When you're a reporter, you occasionally have to ask uncomfortable questions of someone. In this case, I landed an interview with the Georgia Creator's Rights Party candidate for governor, Neal Horsley, who is running on the secessionist platform. During the course of my research, I stumbled upon the fact that Horsley had screwed a mule. (Horsely originally fessed up in an Esquire article, which was picked up by Alan Colmes.) At that point, the campaign, the crusade, everything else kind of takes a backseat to the fact that he screwed a mule.
|
Quote:
NH: "Absolutely. I was a fool. When you grow up on a farm in Georgia, your first girlfriend is a mule."
AC: "I'm not so sure that that is so."
NH: "You didn't grow up on a farm in Georgia, did you?"
AC: "Are you suggesting that everybody who grows up on a farm in Georgia has a mule as a girlfriend?"
NH: It has historically been the case. You people are so far removed from the reality... Welcome to domestic life on the farm..."
Colmes said he thought there were a lot of people in the audience who grew up on farms, are living on farms now, raising kids on farms and "and I don't think they are dating Elsie right now. You know what I'm saying?"
Horsley said, "You experiment with anything that moves when you are growing up sexually. You're naive. You know better than that... If it's warm and it's damp and it vibrates you might in fact have sex with it."
|
Quote:
"We're talking about the mule now?"
Yes, he says. The mule.
"A small mule?" I ask.
"No, a full grown mule," he says. "She loved me, though."
We both laugh, but I'm still trying to figure out the logistics. How big is this thing? The size of a horse, he says.
"All I had to do was give her an ear of corn." He laughs again. "She was a [prostitute] mule."
"How did you reach?"
"I don't know... I stood on something. The kicker is, as soon as I was done she pissed all over me. It was embarrassing. I never told anyone that before."
That's right, my friends. This is an Underground exclusive.
Not only that, but Horsley has had sex with men. He was in the Air Force, it was a cold night, yadda, yadda, yadda, he had sex with him, ahem, the way he did the mule. "It was gross," he says.
Really? He hadn't described the mule that way.
"I've [screwed] a watermelon," he says. And that's just for starters. He's had sex with just about everything it's physically possible to have sex with, and some that isn't. "How many times have I masturbated in my life?" he asks. Now he's 65 and orgasm-free for two years (his wife finally divorced him -- too much "drama", she said). "The bottom line is, I never treated it as if it were not a sin."

ETA: this guy is a militant anti-abortionist and is the guy who hosts the Nuremberg files, the list of names and addresses of doctors who perform abortions online. More about him at the wiki

It almost sounds like he was being coy about the mule. I listen to Alan Colmes( didn't hear this one though) and I swear some of the guests/callers of his are just putting on an act. Alan even says so himself, it's all about the ratings.
