What was really going on is that those girls think it's cool to sleep with other girls topless. They are the same type of girls that like to kiss and touch other girls but will argue you down if asked if they are gay.

i can't knock soror for not wanting to pose nude. but, there are just TOO MANY things she doesn't want to do. what is she willing to do??

She's willing to shake her jugs in front of her gossipy homosexual stylist. She should have know that catty girl of a man was going to tell Tyra what happened. I don't think Tyra saw anything.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Were those chips that they were wearing. I don't have a lot, but the diamonds that I do have are bigger than that. I thought they were going to be so big that they were unaffordable to say the least.

yep...and yep again
The joy of EDITING...all characters have been painted brilliantly.
We have strong feelings about all of them....yet the truth is- we really don't KNOW any of them.
I am giving high fives to Kesse and Robin for not saying anything stupid in their post interviews following their departure from the show...I know they were glad they had that publicity training. And I bet we will see more of them in the future.
Giselle reallllly put her foot in her mouth when she had her follow up interview on UPN.

I'm sorry, I am a true southern girl that was raised in the church and can 'feel' where robin is coming from, which is why I cannot understand all the stunnin'.
The modeling industry is just about as worldy as it gets, Why even pretend like its not? Whether or not they(producers) were switchin back to older comments or not, a person of God and NOT of the so-called world wouldn't even be interested in something like this. Now this is not how I feel, personally, but that's what the bible toters say. I feel like you can have a healthy balance, if you serve God you serve God. You can live in the world and not be of it.
IMO, a christian who wants to perpetuate this image of nearly holiness will not do the following:
*Wear a FUR coat
*Shop for wordly things while giving can be done
*judge others
*show rudeness
*Lie
Now do us normal humans do things like this and worse, HEck Yeah, I know I do and have! But that's what you portray an imperfect lover of Christ that can only try.
No one is just a lil closer to the Lord and once she really knows this and quits all the fake christianity, the speeches, etc I think she will be great in whatever her endeavors may be.

She supposed to be on ET tonight.
'America's Next Top Model': The Naked Truth
July 03, 2003
Although just a size six, ROBIN MANNING was considered a "plus-sized" model by the judges of "America's Next Top Model," but that wasn't the only problem the 5-foot-9-inch, 160-pound beauty encountered during the competition. Her decision not to pose in the nude -- or semi-nude -- got her booted off the UPN series.
ET spoke to the Memphis, TN, daycare assistant to see how she feels now that she's out of the running for a guaranteed modeling contract. On tonight's show, we'll have the inside story.
One of the pictures the wannabe models were asked to pose for gave the illusion of nudity. In order to shoot it, one had to be nude, or else covered with two thin bands of ribbon and a thong. Robin's strong religious values precluded her from feeling comfortable about posing in such a way.
"If I sneezed, everything was going to come off," she told ET. "GISELE BUNDCHEN is the highest paid model today. She might be in a skimpy outfit, but she does not do nudity, so I don't feel I have to do it."
Even though that decision may have cost her the title as "America's Next Top Model," the 26-year-old says she has no regret. "I was ready to go," she says. "I was at peace with everything I had done. That was why at the end, I didn't cry."
Robin's weight was also an issue, as judge JANICE DICKINSON, one of the world's first supermodels, was quick to point out. She didn't feel that Robin could be successful, despite the success that other plus-sized models such as EMME and MIA TYLER have had. Robin told ET that she while she respected Janice, she didn't necessarily agree with what she had to say. Besides, Robin said, she likes the way she looks.
"I knew I weighed the most," admits Robin, who lost a lot of weight when she started college. "I could look at them and see. That was a no brainer. I love my curves. I used to be 204 pounds and a size 18, so to be a six, I would say, "Job well done!'"
So, now that she is out of the running, whom is she rooting for?
"Shannon," she says. "This is just the tip of the iceberg for her."

I'm sorry but a size 6 is not plus size no matter how you look at it. That's why some women have problems now.

She's 5'9" tall, weighs 160 lbs and wears a size 6 - do you know how many women in this world would kill to have her shape???? If she gets any smaller, she might start to look "crackish", IMO.
People like Janice are the one of the reasons why eating disorders persist today.

How is someone who's 160 a size 6? When I was 160, I was a size 12 because I'm totally bootylicious.

Well, I weigh around the same as Robin (although I'm an inch shorter) and I'm a 7/8. You can be bootylicious and wear a smaller size.

Janice worked my last nerve. And I agree with your statement. She is calling someone a size 6 a plus size and saying that she is fat. What is that all about? There are some women watching the show that may start to believe that.

Come on, lets be truthful, Robin is not a size 6. 168 lbs never equaled a 6 unless you're a seven footer . Her upper body is a six but her hips and thighs are 12.
I think Robin looks beautiful but I knew deep down she wouldn't be "America's Top Model" because society doesn't appreciate our curvy frame. Brothers look at Robin think she's right on point, but others would call her fat.
I feel if you're looking for crackish models, just say so. But don't put a so called "plus sized" person on the show and then make her to feel like she's the largest person on earth by cutting her down every chance you get.
If they would have give Robin just one more week, you all would see the Robin that I know, which is not the Jeezus Jeezus Jeezus version either.

what is really going to bother me if elyse wins is (1) she doesn't believe in God and (2) she has repeatedly said that she doesn't want to be a model.
concerning issue #1, i can't figure out how someone CAN'T believe. but, i'm a Christian and am entitled to that. i just can't wrap my mind around the thought that AMERICA'S (see "in God we trust" and "one nation under God..." and various other references to the Lord in America's tenants) top model is atheist.
and it would be soooo unfair to those who auditioned and didn't make it and to those who made it but were eliminatetd and to those that remain if elyse wins. SHE DOESN'T WANT TO BE THERE! SEND HER LIL AZZ HOME!!
* i'm not going to even touch that lesbo mess other than to say...COULDN'T HAVE BEEN ME! I'D A LAID THE BIZ OUT AND SAID "HEY! I AINT WIT ALL THAT!! PUT YO' DAYUM SHIRT BACK ON !"
|
In my opinion Elyse is no more closer to hell than Robin. I consider myself a tolerant person because I take the time to try to understand why people think the way they think and believe what they believe. So, for those that do not understand here is a site that answers some questions about atheism and dispels a number of myths about atheists.
http://atheismawareness.home.att.net/
We may have coined the terms "in God we trust" and "one nation under God", but get serious. . . we sure don't live by those words, so it is condescending to even use that as an arguement against her being America's top model. It just really makes me boil when Christian's act an a&& then down someone like her for living peacefully with people and not cramming beliefs down people's necks

|
Is this the entry form being generated now or then? I do remember Giselle saying she wouldn't do nudity too.
I feel that Robin did influence Shannon's refusal to do the shoot~Shannon is only 18, and impressionable. I guess she was trying to live up to Robin's expectations of her as a Christian. But I wonder, what's going to happen now that Robin's gone? Is Shannon going to be sucked into the heathen world???
Shannon didn't give Robin two thoughts after she was eliminated, at least that's what was shown on the tube... I hope this wasn't the case. But the way the druggie had her shielded as though to protect her from Robin, I dunno.
