According to an article I saw in the Chicago Tribune this morning, apparently BOTH Katherine Heigl and TR Knight have signed contracts to appear on Grey's next season. This will be interesting--I hope if one (both?) die we don't have to deal with lots of stupid flashback/'dream' like sequences (ala Denny--that drove me NUTS this past season!). I also wonder how many episodes each one of them will be in. I guess we'll find out next season...

^^^And I noticed the end of that article said that Katherine's contract was picked up again so it looks like Izzie's coming back. I'm not mad, I still like Izzie ever though her character's been past weird in the entire last season.

Around that announcement... I hope that her character returns to being somewhat normal again... I liked the Izzie from past seasons, but this season, I got tired of her...

My only concern about Izzie returning is that she'll get another plot line that purely revolves around her. Let's explore somebody other than Izzie, k? I really wanted a George plotline for the fall...

@ Smile Awhile: Yeah, Izzie is still quite expendable for me. I really wanted to keep George going because he was actually focusing on a bright medical future and his actual abilities. So, if TR Knight doesn't come back, I'm hoping we lose both characters then.

I vote that the next "spoiler" thread we have (like the ones we used to have before each HP book) should all be invisible because reading these last few posts have been really fun.

Anywho, September can't come fast enough for me. Hopefully George won't die...maybe he'll pull through and be sent off to a phys. rehab. center or something so that the door can stay open. A friend and I discussed this at lunch. If George died and Izzie lived, would Alex have to deal with her being extra-traumatized after losing both her fiance and her bff? How would Lexi take it? That might pull at her heartstrings enough to cause serious trouble b/t her and McSteamy. Man, I live for the "what if" scenarios!

Maybe George won't "die"... maybe he'll just be in a coma and they will leave it open for him to come back next season or something.

Izzie is back for sure, at least according to Access Hollywood.

Me too! If Izzy lives, I hope they can focus a little less on her and more on how Alex is developing. He's had little bits of character development here and there that I get excited about, but then they always focus on someone else and we never get to learn more about him.

If George dies, I will miss his potential storyline. I was interested in him becoming a trauma doctor, but him joining the Army threw a wrench into that plan. You know he'd get deployed, and therefore wouldn't be on the show (except for the occasional scene) but it would be interesting to see what he would be like when he returned.

Oh well....guess we'll see what happens!
