Illinois State just put a photo on Instagram saying that they have 65 new members. I originally saw a photo that had 59.... my mistake. Sorry for the trouble Irispipes.

Wait a second.
All these "corrected numbers" is confusing. I thought that the numbers to be posted were the ones that occurred at bid matching. Otherwise these numbers would be constantly changing.
So, a chapter makes or doesn't make quota at bid matching - but then does COB b/c total was raised - to me, that doesn't mean "corrected" numbers.
irishpipes - can you clarify?

So how about we all clarify where we're getting numbers from moving forward so there isn't any confusion - much like how we are asked to post sources for expansion or closure news?

I receive much information via pm or from the posts people make here. Sometimes people tell me how they got the information, and sometimes they don't.
I don't know if Griffins&Quills has a personal objection to me, but throughout this thread she takes digs. I welcome data and always have, but the tone of her posts is annoying. Reminds me of The Office episode where they keep saying, "redacted" except in this case it's "corrected."

I don't think anyone is up in arms over a correction, I think people are up in arms about multiple incorrect corrections.
And in regards to my previous post, I was responding to IndianaSigKap, thus why I quoted her.

Wow. G&Q I think you're taking offense where none is intended. Sheesh. Come on, people - let's get some perspective. There are serious issues in the world right now.
I go back to my question about "corrections". Are the numbers reported from bid matching? FWIW the numbers for Arizona came from the Panhellenic office. OK?

Things have gotten messy here! First of all, I offer my apology to G&Q. Honestly I didn't think my post would offend you, because I thought your intention was to let me know you are aggravated that the numbers posted don't match your numbers. I didn't think I was posting anything newsworthy. I really don't want to hurt your feelings. But, when I get numbers from very reliable sources and yours differ, I wonder if you are just trying to put your group in a better light. I can promise you I am never trying to make any group look bad. Secondly, I am a data freak, obviously. I never want data to be incorrect. That being said, this isn't the canonization of the bible. It's a Greekchat thread. Hardly significant in the grand scheme of things. I think the sandbox is big enough for us all to play, and there is no need for anyone to leave.

I think that everyone who is posting numbers is trying her best to get the information as accurate as possible. Some Nationals are very good about posting numbers, but others ( such as mine ) rarely post anything; so, I count faces in pictures and hope that sometimes the chapter actually posts the number of their new members. I apologize if I have posted numbers that I have had to correct when I find official numbers.
