I had that same thought -- when the camera was panning from Bree crying to the picture of her and Rex, I wondered for a split second if we were goung to see him in the hall.

I read that the feedback they got on Tom doing something bad was negative so they scrapped that idea. I do not know what they are going to come up with instead cause we all remember him saying it.

I keep thinking Rex is alive since they told her over the phone (not realistic) and she had not gone to the hospital or seen his body by the end of the show.

I gues only next season will tell!!!

I really like the new neighbor boy's voice!!

I can't believe Rex is dead... if Bree does end up in trouble over his death, do you think creepy Pharmacist will step up?

I know it's a show, but a hospital would never call you on the phone and just tell you in that manner that your husband died.

Remember though, that Rex is also a doctor and that doctors appear to be thick as thieves on Desperate Housewives. So, I bet that he did bribe one of them to make the call, just to see how her reaction would be. I am thinking that crazy-George will be so p*ssed off that Bree really did love Rex (as she will demonstrate this in her 'grief'), that he will turn extra-psycho and step up the stalker maneuvers ten-fold! EEEEK.....

I think Desperate Housewives should have been done for 1 season and 1 season only...I'm not really sure how they can drag it out for long, unless they start introducing new plotlines. The Mary Alice thing has been so front and centre, that they'd better come up with something new, fast.

I wonder what will happen with the introduction of Alfre Woodard? Hmmm.....

If Mike Delfino is Zach's father (and I am positive that he is), does that mean that they will all live together in one big happy family?:
Susan, Mike, Julie and Zach? Eeeeewwww......

I still like the idea of Tom having 2 wives and would be so disappointed if the big revelation was merely that Annabelle was working alongside him? Maybe Alfre Woodard is his other wife? The son was fair skinned enough that he looked like he could potentially be bi-racial? Hmmmm....she seemed to have the whole mysterious thing about her and maybe she moved into the neighbourhood to confront him? Can you imagine? Also, since the son (I forgot his name...he looks like he'd be 18-22), maybe that could be Tom's child from a romance that he walked out on?!

Maybe *I* should start writing for ABC....LOL

Is Mary Alice still narrating the show next season? I thought I heard she wasn't.

Alfre Woodward's character's story will be the mystery for next season.

I'm not sure that I would miss it, to be honest. I remember how much I hated the early years of SATC, when Sarah Jessica Parker used to give commentary right into the camera....so annoying.
The voiceover is less annoying, but still. They could just have a neutral narrator.

On another note:
They could always put in a twist that George is bisexual....Lord knows that he comes across as though he bats for the other team.

And one more thing....if MaryAlice was called Angela in Utah (and that's what Deirdra called her), how come that when she stabbed Deidra, Paul Young said, "Oh Mary Alice, what did you do?" (and not "Oh Angela, what did you do?"???) When did she drop the Angela moniker? Did she become MaryAlice when they moved to Wisteria Lane?
I think that there is more to it, than just a falling out with a favorite Aunt, or whatever the explanation was.....

I realize that Paul's words were, in part, a dramatic technique (because that's what Susan's exact words were, when the Fab Four discovered that blackmail note from Martha Huber) but WHY did he call her Mary Alice? Maybe Mary Alice is her violent personality and Angela is her gentle personality?

HOW COME?
HOW COME?

When Deidre was killed, they were already living on Wisteria Lane...in other words, they had already moved and assumed their new identities. They moved right after they got Dana/Zach as a baby. Didn't they say Zach was 3 when it happened? So Paul would have been calling her "Mary Alice" for about 2 years by then.

When they showed Diedre being admitted to the hospital, Felicia Tillman was asking them where her 10 month old baby was. They said they were posting a cop at her bedside to question her about where the baby was when she woke up. That's when Angela and Paul took off for Fairview. They said he was 4 when she came back for him, so it was at least 3 years later. I would think they would ALWAYS use the new names to avoid slipping accidentally.

The speculations on the TWOP forum are that 1) Rex isn't really dead or 2) he will do the voice overs instead of Mary Alice next year. I suppose the writiers can do it whichever way they choose at this point! We'll find out in September...

Yes. Remember how Dierdre said she was very hard to track down. She and "Paul," if that was his real name, assumed new identities when they left Utah with someone else's baby.

Crazy George (The Pharmacist) becomes a full-time cast member

WHAT A PILL: It looks like Bree's psycho stalker will be menacing Wisteria Lane full-time next season. According to Variety, Desperate Housewives lunatic Roger Bart — the psycho pharmacist who killed Marcia Cross' TV hubby Rex in the season finale — is joining the show as a series regular. Speaking of Housewives, more than 30 million viewers watched Sunday's subpar climax. It was the soap's largest audience to date.
