I'm not the nurse-type, either, but when it comes to someone or something you love, you can find it in yourself. There were only about 4 sutures holding Sharley's eyelids together. I had to put the (sterlized) tube with a long tip under the outside open part of the slit to the inside, then slowly keep even pressure as I put the line of antibiotic on his eye. It was horrible, but I loved him and did it. I can remember sitting cross-legged to hold him tightly, then doing it as he shook, then cuddling and singing to him as he tried to absorb the pain. He'd always lick my hand when he could handle it again. Poor little guy!

So a good friend of mine has been in the hospital since Thursday.....not sure what's wrong with her. She's probably going to end up having surgery of some kind (first they thought it was her gallbladder, then appendix, not sure now)

We're kinda frustrated cause the doctors are taking forever to figure out what's going on.....

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this friend's life, and the fact that she is precious to you. May she receive healing through you as well as through the physicians attending her. Give them insight, revelation, and wisdom of the situations inside this person's body, and may they be guided by you as to what to do. May the medications they prescribe do good and not harm. May everything be uncovered that needs to be uncovered. And thank you for Emleepc, who is a worthy friend. In Jesus's name, Amen.

Thumbs up Update

My Kittie Natalie came home from the vet tonight! She's hiding under my nightstand, poor thing! It's too early to tell what will happen with her eye. We go back to the vet on Friday and I have to give her a pill every 12 hours. I can handle that for the next four days.
It's only one day at a time, right.

Thank you so much for the prayers for my friend. I found out last night that she will be having surgery, taking her gallbladder out, at 1pm CST today......offer up prayers for her as she has the surgery and then for a speedy recovery. I will pass along the good news that ya'll are thinking about her and praying for her.
Loyally,
EmLee

My brother is leaving for the Army next Tuesday. Please keep him, his wife and my family in your prayers. Although, for the next 5 months I'll forutnate enough to have him only 2 hours away while he is in Boot Camp. After his 9 weeks in boot camp, he'll be in San Antonio (5 hours) for 4 months to do his Medic Training. After his completion of Medic training it will the be determined where he will be based. We are hoping he gets a "billingual" bonus. If he does, he'll more than likely be stationed somewhere where his billingual ability can be utilized.

Thanks much!!!

Well, she was supposed to have surgery yesterday at 1pm----didn't actually happen until 530pm last night. She returned to her room around 930 pm or so.....

Everything went well, and supposedly she is going to be released to go home today.

I'll update later, if there's anymore news.

Thanks for all the prayers!!

I'll be thinking about you, your family, and the families of all those who have suffered losses in the past few days.

FD, I'll be remembering you too!!

Good news ladies.....my friend went back to work today after her surgery a week ago. She said she wasn't sure how long she would last today, but she seems to be in good spirits. I'll see her this evening....

Also, a little request. I applied for a new job, and now I'm at the waiting point......throw up some prayers for me if you think about it. This job (I won't say much yet, till I hear something) would be great for me, plus it's a career move that I've been wanting.....
Thanks!!

Kittie Update

The stitches came out and the eye "globe" (eyeBALL to me...) seems to be OK. The eye moves, so they know the nerve is intact. However, there is a blood clot obscuring the lens and pupil. Her eye appears solid black - there is no sign of the bright green eye she had. We are putting drops in her eye 4X a day, hoping to reduce the clot and force open the pupil, allowing in some light - and the hopes of restored sight. My DH is convinced she will see again; I am just grateful that she is otherwise energetic, loving and, above all, healthy.

Thank you all for your prayers for my Natalie.
