I seem to recall the administration essentially saying that SEC schools had pledge classes that big, so it was okay if Belmont did too. Panhellenic pointed out the flaws in that logic in the article, but I don't know if they listened.

Griffins&Quills, I'm curious where you get your recruitment numbers from. It seems like you are correcting many numbers coming from pretty reliable sources....

Well, that sounded pretty snarky.
However, it makes more sense now that your numbers are frequently a few higher than reported by others. Results in a membership database could likely include COBs and not only FR Bid matching results.

If a group makes quota, they could still be below the new total after it is set following formal recruitment if they had fewer members going into formal recruitment or if other groups got many quota additions, etc.
I don't know anything about the two campuses and numbers you just posted about. Over the last few weeks there have been schools that I know your numbers are a few higher than accurate for bid matching results, so I was curious of your sources. It makes more sense to me now.
