I'm a proud Theta Phi Alpha,, although nationally we are not large,, here in the Ohio/N Ky area we have 8 active chapters & I believe 5 inactive chapters.
My mother's cousin, my dad's 2nd cousin & both of my daughters are all Theta Phi Alphas. I had no idea of my mother's cousin when I joined. We are all from the same chapter, Alpha Mu at NKU
My first cousin is a Delta Zeta (Miami U) & my cousin's daughter is a Phi Sigma Sigma (NKU), my husband's mother's cousin is a Zeta Tau Alpha (University of Cincinnati)
My daughter's husband's grandmother was an AOPi at Indiana University . My son is a Sigma Phi Epsilon (NKU)
I had an uncle who was a Lamda Chi Alpha (in Ky, not sure where),
I may have posted this before, but it's always good to get Theta Phi Alpha out there, we aren't on here a whole lot.

Congrats to your nephew! It looks like you narrowly missed out on another Sigma Chi in the family!

Our large/extended family's connection to greek chapters continues to grow, and this time it's a group new-to-the-family: Delta Upsilon!
My newly-initiated nephew looks forward to living in the DU house next year.
I am very proud he chose to continue the traditions of service, education and friendship involved in life-long greek membership.
I believe his girlfriend just became a NM to an NPC group, too, but until she officially marries my nephew I won't add her group's name to my compiled GreekChat list.

My Mother is a Delta Zeta from Wittenberg.
My sister was a Kappa Kappa Gamma at McGill U.

I found out recently that:
My father-in-law was in APO.
My mother-in-law was in a sorority. It was a service sorority, but she can't remember which one. Guess it was so meaningful for her

After making some family connections over the past eighteen months, I am able to add several groups/numbers to our continuing greek throng. There should be more numbers coming soon, as our extended family somehow has many young students enrolling in higher education this decade.
I will simply re-type the old list here to include new additions:
FRATERNITIES
Phi Gamma Delta (2)
Delta Tau Delta
Delta Upsilon
Lambda Chi Alpha
Pi Kappa Phi
Sigma Alpha Epsilon
Theta Chi
a local which later became Tau Kappa Epsilon
SORORITIES
Kappa Alpha Theta (4)
Pi Beta Phi (3)
Alpha Gamma Delta (2)
Alpha Omicron Pi (2)
Kappa Kappa Gamma (2)
Alpha Xi Delta
Chi Omega
Delta Delta Delta
Delta Zeta
Kappa Delta
Chi Sigma Xi
We still have only one family member (female) who is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
