Highs: I can think of a few! went to Asheville last weekend for a wedding and it was great, really beautiful. Our anniversary is on Thursday and I have really great patients at work which makes the day fun.

Lows: it's cold and I have a million leaves to rake outside and not enough day light to do it after work.

p.s. good luck on your interviews Erin!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks a bunch! I've secured interviews at my top two choices! I'm really excited, but I'm nervous at the same time. I'm also really excited to soon find out where my school placement will be. I have a few top choices, and I hope I am placed near Bloomington.

High: Its I-Week!!!! I get initiated this Saturday and am very excited
Low: My grandpa died today

Definitely sad... but my sisters (and non greek friends) have been very supportive. My mother actually made me stay here to school and initiation. She did not go Greek in college, and I have thought she did not approve of it, but today she told me she was proud of me for going greek and was very excited for my initiation, and that my step-grandmother (my grandpa's wife) was proud of me and wanted me to stay here. The funeral is in Florida my mother won't even be back until Tuesday, and there was no way I could miss that much school. Luckily, there is going to be a memorial service in my hometown in a few weeks so I will be able to go to that. I am excited about initiation, but I definitely feel guilty about not being able to go to the funeral

neonsparkles -- I'm so sorry about your grandfather

Highs: it's FRIDAY!!! (just finished a crazy week with a huge exam and a 10 page paper)

Highs: It's Down 'N Dirty week!

Lows: Our philanthropy chair has been a little spazzy lately and didn't reserve space for us to paint the overpass (where most groups advertise for big events) and didn't seem to care, and I feel like we did NOT publicize our events well this week We'll see how Down 'N Dirty goes tomorrow...

Lows: We finally got our Down 'N Dirty t-shirts today (YES, the day before! we had wanted to wear them for a day this week as advertising) and they are the ugliest things I've ever seen. All we had been told was that they would be somewhere between $5-10 and would be "really really cute!" with our nickname and a number on the back.

Well... they say "property of Pi Phi (the greek letters, no beta) athletics" in really crappy writing on the front (AND I HAAAAATE seeing Pi Phi w/ no Beta when it's in greek letters!!!) and it's on a white and red baseball style shirt. Why red and white? Why a baseball shirt for a football event? Why no "beta" ? Why don't they say "Down 'N Dirty" anywhere on them? Why do they cost $14?????? Why did I have no choice but to pay for it because it has my name on it? Why can't i pass it down to my pledge baby or sell it on ebay since it has my name on it? Why don't I ever want to wear this horribly ugly shirt? PLUS, the place screwed up our order (put the wrong names on the wrong sizes, ran out of navy lettering and wanted to put a combo of navy and black to spell out the names ) and some people didnt even get their shirts? (Wish they screwed up mine..)

Highs: I teach an afterschool program and I now have 3 classes running for the new session (I get paid REALLY well and am earning intership credit through the artschool for it)

Lows: the weather sucks, its freezing, I really need to go to the mall and I don't have a car.. and it'd take me forever to ride the shuttle.. but I don't wanna go myself .. maybe I can drag my bf with me if he gets back from practice soon'

Highs: I had my tote bag at "Pie a PiPhi" and a few girls complimented me on it and want me to make bags for them too -- they said they'd pay me so I might be going into business If I promote it around pledge-baby time I could probably make tons of money and then my pledge baby wouldn't automatically be able to guess that they have me '

WOW.. sorry about the rant!

Neonsparkles, I'm sorry about your grandfather--and happy for your upcoming initiation. I know you'll be thrilled by our ceremony.

Highs: planning Thanksgiving and it's FRIDAY!

Low:I wish our fifth daughter would go to a college with a Pi Phi chapter! Looks like she won't and I would SO love to have a Pi Phi daughter. Now how can I bribe her so she'll go to, say, Georgia or Birmingham Southern? No wait, if she goes to either of those 2 she'll be a double legacy to Chi O and AOII and they're fabulous but *I want a Pi Phi!*

High: we're getting closer to the holidays!

Low: I apparently swallowed a crown while I was asleep. I don't know how on earth I did but I hear it's not uncommon. @#! Crowns aren't cheap.

Highs: One of my classes is cancelled tomorrow, and on Thursdays a bunch of us get together and have a mini party. My paper is almost done! Also, only a few more days of class until break!

Lows: I'm slightly burnt out from school. Other than that I'm good.
