Yes Robin is rude & a wee bit holier than thou & even though we knew from last week that she wasn't going to win, she was still my favorite. I don't know if yall noticed, but during the couture session everybody's bones were just all over the place except Robin's. She looked healthy, not big but just right! So I don't really care who wins now. I just would not like it to be Elyse b/c she really thinks she's gat it in the bag. And I'm not to keen on Satan worshipers winning competitions, but oh well. Shannon would be a cute idea, but she really is too "obvious".

I'm glad that next week is the last show b/c the drama queen is gone & the show would really be too dry w/o Miss Soybean, Shake It Fast Manning.

Okay what i have gahterd so far from yall comments are:
The girls are still in paris, they went out on dates w/ rich men, robin was rude by reading the bible( as usual, but i still love her). The girls wanted to go togther siteseeing in pars but robin made shannon go with her. They had to do a nude photo shootand of course robin and shannon freaked out w/ robin probably stating that she wouldn't do it. Fast Forward to the part about her shakin her boobs in the Gay man's face, was that what tyra was upset about? They voted her off and shannon was upset so adrienne and elyse comforted her.
Questions:
What did they say when voting her off?
Why was she reading the bible at dinner?
What did Jay tell Elyse?

I thank you all for being my eyes and ears! I know, i'm in backwoods MS with a cable company that refuses to get UPN. I probably won't remember this by thursday, but it will make the show easier to understand. I assumed that Robin was going to be voted off, regfardless of her beliefs and attitude i believe she will go far in her modeling career, especially with a baby phat contract. So I'm rooting for Shannon right know!

I love my soror for having moral convictions, but she was just over the top with hers. Here is where my issue lies with her, when the cameras are not there in her face, is she always reading the Bible? How can she say she is a Christian but treat others SO CRAPPY? I don't know Robin personally. Might never meet her, but the perception she gave off on TV was one that does not sit well with me as a woman, a Christian, or a member of DST. We all have flaws, but over the past few weeks, Robin's actions were very UGLY. How can you dislike being around Ebony and her girlfriend, but be up in J. Alexander and Jay Manuel's faces. Gay is gay. . .

Ok. Last's night's show was funny and deep. I was sad to see Robin go. She was my absolute favorite. I don't think she was holier-than-thou. I don't think she was over the top. Some of the stuff she did made my laugh. Some of the stuff she did made me mad. Some of the stuff she did made my examine my own relationship with God. I can't judge her. God is the only judge.

This is TV. You only see what the producers of the show want you to see. It's just like The Real World, Sorority Life, etc. They find a slant at the beginning of the contest, and they run with it for the length of the season. That's why these reality shows make for great TV and high ratings.

They saw Robin's Christianity and decided to capitalize on it. We have absolutely no idea what went on with these ladies when the cameras were off or what ended up on the editing room floor. I'm not making excuses. I'm just stating my opinion. The producers knew that Robin's reactions to situations were going to draw a lot of heat, therefore they have accomplished what they set out to do.

She will come out on top. According to an earlier post, she already has a contract with Baby Phat. You see how far she got in this competition, even with her "over-the-top" ways. She's a strong and confident woman who takes a stand for what she believes in. You can't be mad at her for that.

Because Ebony was creepy and horrible . . . J. Alexander and Jay Manuel are frilly and flowery and fun. I don't think that I could have handled being around Ebony, gay or not, but the two gay stylists are just part of the industry. I can't very well request that everyone that has anything to do with my career be heterosexual . . . but also don't need to be around people who think it is cool to sleep topless with other women and ride them like horse while in lingerie. Interesting show, but what is going to be really interesting is what is going to happen to the other girls that get voted off.

Are they going to get contracts with people they've had contact with like Robin did?? Oh, and she made a really poor decision shaking her goodies in front of that gossipy queen. She should have known that he was going to take every chance he could get bring her down.

I do believe that is true that they pick one thing about you and capitalize on it. But for some reason I don't feel that was the case with Robin b/c in every episode she said something about prayer ,loving God and her religion. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with loving God or what you religion teaches you but you don't have to say it in every other sentence. She must not be too Christian to shake her boobies in front of a man. Who she doesn't even know and by the way she does have a boyfriend. So I don't get it. I think Adrainne might win it because she is pretty when you get right down to it. Shannon has too many teeth and Elyse is i don't know how to describe her. But I'm rooting for Adrainne. I totally agree with you CT4. Elyse has fitted the profile of "America's Next Top Model" every since day one. Everybody loves her. Every time she takes a picture the photographer gives her great reviews. EVERYBODY LOVES HER! Actually, I like her too. They're looking for all American, skinny, short hair (which makes her look more distinct), pretty eyes, etc. Elyse "makes love" to the camera, as they say. She never fails at her duties, she's always down for whatever, and that always makes a great "TOP MODEL."

I can't believe that you feel this way considering how she's acted the entire show. Let's start AAAAAAAAAALL the way back when Ebony wanted her girlfriend to visit. She said no, just because "her religion teaches her..." As far as I'm concerned, she could have just gone in the other room like she did. And with this last episode...she took things to another level when she started READING THE BIBLE on one of her missions. Who is she suppose to be? You know what? When you're a Christian, you don't have to always throw it in people's faces, You don't have to take your Bible with you everywhere you go, you don't have to always say, "MY RELIGION TEACHES ME..." It's in your heart, it's how you walk, it's how you talk, etc. Don't try to act HOLIER THAN THOU! And definitely, don't try to force it on other people. She got offended when Adrian and Elyse were making fun of each other. I thin they were talking about how big each other's hooters were , and Robin made a "MY RELIGION TEACHES ME..." comment then. Her (Robin's) attitude turned a lot of people away.

I'm glad she got voted off! Now, her outer shell was on POINT! It still amazes me how Tyra and Kimora were still in her corner. This would have been an excellent opportunity for Robin to open up the market for plus size women, but her personality is ICK! Furthermore, what does she expect being a model?! I would have gone on the show with a completely open mind! She should have known immediately that there were going to be homosexuals in the biz, nudity, etc. And she was trying to GET INTO the industry, and if she's making stands already, she will never be gig in the industry.

I respect your opinions. However, that is how I feel. I am one of those people who happen to have my Bible everywhere I go. I do believe that it is about how you walk, talk, etc. I didn't say that I agreed with everything Robin did. I did however say that it caused me to look within myself in regards to how I show my love for God to others. That's a good thing.

I am not taking your response to what I said as a personal attack. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I respect that.

I love this forum though. It gives us a chance to voice our opinions about this show. If you really think about it, there's so much more to this show than just who is going to become America's Next Top Model. This show has had so many different dynamics to it. Eating Disorders, possible Drug Use, Sexual Orientation, Religion, cliques, competition...this show was truly a small snapshot of the issues we deal with everyday.

I can't wait for season 2 to begin!

Robin reminds me of one of those people that just started getting down with religion. You know, when some people just start getting into religion or get "saved" or something, their religion and God is ALL they talk about. It's a new feeling to be close to God and they want to share that with everyone. I can't hate her for it, whether it's who she really is or just became. Either way, she was a little extreme about it.

Come on! Her religion should have taught her that she can have fun, but within limits. And I'm sure that she has "lusted" behind someone before. I remember one of the earlier posts saying that she dated a football player. I KNOW that she had to "lust" after something and it dayum sure wasn't his personality....

This is SO true. I think that is why this show is such a hit. This is the only "reality" show my husband will watch with me. They're calling this show the sleeper hit of the summer. It wasn't expected to do well.

The perfect ANTM drinking game would have been to DRINK every time Robin said JESUS or MY RELIGION TEACHES ME...

It was downright RUDE to read the Bible in the limo. And when they were eating, "it's um...different"... RUDE.

Adrienne and Elyse, I think Adrienne is infatuated with Elyse. She asked her to be her boyfriend? um? I don't know if they will "consumate" it, but Adrienne definitely wants it.

Can Janice look like any more of a drag queen? No, she cannot.

And LOL to whoever said Robin started talkign like a slave when she was explaining herself...when I was watching I was so thinking she was gonna bust into the "you told Harpo to hit me?" monologue from the Color Purple.
