I, too, am glad that Terri and Damon got married. I am an admitted hoper of happily ever after forever.

Anyway did you all hear when Terri made her toast, she said NIECES and NEPHEW!!! I was like lawd she forgot about Jeremiah.

I fell out when Ahmad mentioned his acne. I was like boo, I know it's hard. It's even harder watching them. Then when Bird touched his face

I was AS HAYLE when I saw what they did to Lem's store.

You know what my favorite part of Soul Food has been? Watching Terri become friends with Lem.

I started crying once the sisters sat together in the kitchen and talked.

Oh and how dare Lem and Bird get freaky LIKE DAT on Mother Joe's table?!?!?!

Mario Van Peebles has been looking like a dirty sex object for years since after New Jack City.

I wish Terri had stayed in Chicago to make it more believable that she comes to every Sunday dinner.

Oh and it was definitely like Stardusttwin stated in terms of why SF's finale was not as heavily touted. It was OUR show and we will miss it.

It's soooooooooo hard to say goodbyyyyyyyyye to Soul Food!!

Oh but I join the toast.
To the Soul Food cast and crew: Thanks for telling a story that I loved and that showed love and triumph within a Black family. Thanks for telling a story that showed Black men and women loving each other and fighting to stay together through thick and thin. Thank you for the soundtrack. Just thank you for a job well done. It was long overdue for a story like this. I love yall and will miss yall. Please please please come back.

Bittersweet memories, la la la la. . . (drawing a blank)
Adding to this wonderful list:

LMBO when Terri fired the receptionist at the Georgia office and it took a while b/4 homegirl realized what was happening to her.

When Lem started crying in the store, I felt sooooo bad for him.

Something to add to my birthday or christmas list - the Soul Food DVD collection.

Well I guess I kinda feel like Kiml22, when I think this should have been at least two hours last night. From a writers perspective Terri's scene was rushed......and dang they didn't even bring poor Brian back into the picture. There was defintely a lot of loose ends with regards to Terri, Damon, Charles, and even with Little Mandell....

Lawd, yawl that has to be make up, can't nobotties face be that damn bumpy! It seems like every show his face gets worse and worse. And as much drama as the Josephs, Chadways, and Van Adams family has Ahmad should have leprosy.

ABCDEFG.......Hooked on phonics worked for Kellyyyyyyyy!!!

Okay did anyone notice that the second time the Chadway's caught the gambling bug, Maxine told Terri and Bird she only used a dollar but when Kenny came into the Casino she told him she used her last quarter???

Lemon's, I mean Lems goatee was too bushy and very crooked. I was tired of looking up in his face after a while. Also, CT4 revert back to the SF movie....that wasn't the first time Lem and Bird got busy on Ma Jo's table. Remember when Lem got that job working with Simeon, Bird's ex....and she had on that lil ugly leopard Victoria Secretions outfit! HATED IT! No, wait, they were in the chair, hell, it was still MaJo's dining area.....

Last night at the very end, Lem and Bird were posed outside their new house looking like the first black Lotto winners that had their first interview with the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.....all cheesy and greezy!

I dunno, I didn't really care for the ep myself. And why is it that the series finale is always the worst ep?? I personally think they could have done a better job, but I will not lie and say i'm not going to miss the show. I guess reality really hit when they didn't say at 11 o'clock........"On the next Soul Food..."

i enjoyed the finale and i will definitely miss this show. I was SO GLAD that Teri realized (and acted upon the realization) that she didn't have to prove anything to anyone. That moment made her "free" ... but i think she jumped back into bondage by marrying damon ... all in all i am glad she moved on to doing something in which she could find meaning in and affect peoples' lives, while still doing what she loved - law. I would have thrown the TV set if she did something foolish like say "forget law, i want to be a writer."

I can't believe Max and Kenny. They are some str8 up fools, for everything. I still want to know how much kenny sold his company for (i only remember he said they gave 200,000 over his asking price).

I hope there is a new movie... I would DEFINITELY love to see a soul food "family reunion" in the theater showing the Chadways, Carters, Van Adams and the KIDS growing up.

How did Kelly end up in the casino? DAT IS A NO-NO!

Mario Van Peebles...whatever! You LEAVE your date to chit chat with your "fans"? Man, you should have thanked them for their support and sent them a bottle of bubbly over to their table.

Lord, me too!! My friend and I were just dicussing the acne situation, and then he said that. LAWD, I fell out!

Oh, the other part that had me in tears...at the end when Ahmad gave us info about everyone

"Kellie read over 100 books in a year. Learning how to read really changed her life"

I'm thinking, "Did it really change her life? How old is she?"

I agree with what everyone sai. Most of all, the show should have at least been two hours long. Don't just show me the clips of everyone's lives after Soul Food and stuff.

Also I was trying to find the "link" with Terri's sneezing all episode. The show said that they didn't decide to have kids of their own so...whatwas with the sneezing. I was thinking they needed continuity throughout the show because perhaps the sneeze BEFORE she said her vows (to add to suspense) was supposed to be dramatic but when we all realized it was a sneeze we were supposed to feel like "oh, just a sneeze. She has been sneezing all show."

Can someone please refresh my memory as to who Mandel is?

Overall, I am going to miss the heck out of SF.

Mandel is the young boy that Max use to work with his bio mom was the one she faked the drug test for. Then she abandonded him and Terri and Damon took care of him. Yeah the episode was alight but they could have made it a little longer. For shame blaming his pimples on stress Lol!

Oh yeeeeaaaahhhh! I rememebr that kid now. Thanks SP.

I was in tears when Ahmad blamed the acne on the family problems..we have been looking at that itsh for weeks now and in the last ep. he says that. I was like "no they didn't tie in the acne at the last minute."

I kept wondering about the sneezes too. AT first I thought she was allergic to THE ATL but alas no. That one at her wedding was convoluted.

Yes the series finale should have been 2 hours long! While I was very happy that Teri realized that she no longer had to prove anything to herself or anyone else, I was kinda that she married Damon so quickly.

Meanwhile, why didn't Kenny and Maxine stop while they were ahead? And then when they went back in the second time, why did they bring Kelly? And why didn't someone in the casino notice that?

I wondered who trashed Lem's store? My guess is probably Nyla or that Jamacian dude did it.

And what was with Teri's sneezing? I too thought that she was allergic to Atlanta, then I thought that it was to Damon and I really thought that she was gonna leave him this time around.

I will miss Soul Food. However, if you want to see it again from the beginning, Showtime will air 2 eps. every week beginning next Wednesday.

about the casino scene-I guess some of you have never been to Vegas....

As soon as you step off the airplane you are met with slot machines, in most hotels there are slot machines in the lobby-most of the "common" areas have some sort of gambling going on so if you are checking in with kids or going to a theatre to watch a show know ahead of time the kids will be around gambling in certain areas...people are watching and I've never seen a child be allowed to actually play anything.

But if you know you have no willpower don't carry credit cards or atm cards with you...they will swipe your card for chips right there at the table and keep you liquored up.

I know that in Vegas kids are allowed to go inside the casino but can't gamble and the same is here in Atlantic City. I remember going to AC with my folks for dinner many times before I was of age. I could go inside the casino with them but not gamble, so I didn't find anything unusual about that since I had been through myself and seen it many times.

Yes, I've been to Vegas. I have relatives there. Kids are not allowed in the gambling areas (lemme say... HERE!) . You have to be 18. There are "kiddie areas".

That's an AIRPORT.

I've been to Vegas many, many times. The above is true. Underage people are not allowed in the gambling area. Usually the carpet of the gaming floor and walkway are different. The chirrun cannot be in the area with the games.

When Kellie started scooping up money, I nearly fell out.
