I saw last night's show, and I just don't understand what the writer's are aiming for. We talked before about how the characters have not developed whatsoever in the last 5 years, and this was truly evidenced by last night's episode. I know Toni's "gimick" is being shallow, but no one would sell (no - i'm sorry that's give away) their long time friend's family heir-loom. I would think that these characters would have grown-up by now. I mean, Whitley on A Different World was totally self-absorbed the 1st two seasons, but even her character was expanded to have some depth and maturity. The stuck-up, shallow bit isn't so amusing anymore.

On another note: I need for Lynn to quite playing herself with her non-boyfriend. He's not even cute, and he's w/other women right in her face. I think that's disrespectful, even if you do have an open relationship.

I too was blown away by Toni's reaction at the baby shower last night. I wouldn't have gotten that heffa a pack of pampers.

I have to agree with Marie. I stopped watching b/c no one seemed to be changing. The last time I watched . . . Toni was still self-absorbed, I think that was a part of why she lost her man. Joan was still giddy. Like she was in high school and got to have a man or something. Lynn don't know what the heck she want. She want to know her parents , then she don't. She wants to work and make a living for herself, then she wants to be a freeloader, she likes men and she likes women, then she's just playing she really doesn't like women. Mya is still G-H-E-T-T-O. She shakes her head and turns her neck, very streotypical of a Black woman.

When she said she sold that damn cradle, I wanted to beat her. I was just too disgusted at:

a. Her reaction to the gifts, esp. William's and Lynn's
b. firing her maid
c. not knowing Jesus from Hay seus
d. HER PERIOD

Lynn, Finn is hit like a muuuuuuuuuug. Some folks we should just not even want to know how good the johnson is.

Toni to me was the most ungrateful heffa walking. I'm like dang you didn't have to use the crib as the baby's primary bed, but you could have kept it and not given it away, and then Joan finds her picture frame she gave her for her wedding in someone elses house. What a slap in the face.

Joan lord the only thin I can say is EYE REDUCTION!!!

I'm trying to figure out why she was chasing that fish face looking fin anyway??? He looked like a whiting fish! He's got an UGLY as sin face, bony body and no muscle tone or definition anywhere.....and answers the phone, "uh luh".....WTF

Please, he would be banging on my door at 2am, because I wouldn't want my neighbors seeing him come over any earlier

I am guessing this has to be the last season???

I think this show is about to "jump the shark." * A baby/child is about to be added and that seems to be the kiss of death for a sitcom. Ya'll remember when "Olivia" joined the Cosby Show?

*jump the shark=A defining moment when you know that your favorite television program has reached its peak. The instant that you know from now on...it's all downhill.

This show been jumped the shark. This is 2 seasons of shark indigestion.

I found myself wishing they would get back together. I read on another message board that Golden Brooks will be leaving the show. The board said that Shar Jackson will be introduced as a new girlfriend. Maybe Mya and Darnell will go off into the future together.

BTW - if the rumor about Golden Brooks is true, that might explain why she was conspicuously absent from the recent episode about William & Joan trying to drum up new business for the restaurant...

... or maybe she can finally smell the stench of this show's rotting corpse and couldn't take it anymore.
