Yes ^^^^

I don't know if you are participating TAMU's recruitment. I'm assuming you are since you asked the question about 1 rec in the Aggie thread. You need to go here where I've linked to the list of local alumnae Panhellenic associations. In registering with the local alumanae Panhellenic for your area, they in turn can introduce you to alumnae that can potentially write you a recommendation. It is suggested as optional on TAMU's recruitment website, but I highly recommed securing more than one rec.

I know people are tired of asking about what to wear, but shoes doesn't seem to be a worn out subject. I understand at A&M the second day of rush is farily dressy casual, with an emphasis on the casual. If casual looking heels are comfortable for us, would they still be a no-no?

It all depends on what you choose to wear as dressy casual. It is really encouraged on the second and third days to wear comfortable flat shoes. Most of the girls I've seen on these days are wearing nice "flip flop" style sandals--I'd actually save anything with heels for pref day. You will be hopping on and off the bus to attend each house's activities, which is why flat, comfy shoes are recommended.

Bid day was Friday at Texas A&M. Does anyone know the results of bid day? I have been looking everywhere and cannot find too much information. Irishpipes gave me quota (thanks by they way!!), but I am just wondering how each chapter did.

FYI. after going through recruitment, everyone, "that maximizes their options" get a bid, because one house takes everyone left over!

Wow. That's very Panhellenic of you (note sarcasm). Seriously though, that's rude.

Wow.

Let me get this straight. You come on here several weeks ago looking for advice and information to help you with recruitment. Many women, from multiple different organizations, step in to give you information for no other purpose than to assist you.

You thank them by coming on here and posting this crap?

I am sure that IF you got a bid, that your organization must be proud of the class and maturity that you exhibit. And- with the grammar issues in your post, you best worry more about your grades and how you present yourself than with taking the opportunity to make rude posts on a not-so-anonymous message board.

This is a very old post and SO much has changed at A&M. Being SEC has really upped the competition and the struggling chapters have really improved (all chapters are nearly at total now).

Blinn Team is completely up to the sororities membership selection rules (secret). I know there are quite a few that cannot take members that are not fully enrolled in the university. Nothing against the BT girls, but they absolutely cannot get a bid until they are full-time students as per the national rules of those houses. And if they are going through recruitment as an upperclassman their grades need to be very high and they need to have connections in the houses.
