1. How your various meetings are handled and when.

Since I'm not on EC I'm not sure if and when they are held; committee meetings are held at various times but generally after chapter meetings which are on sunday nights from 7 p.m.- 8-9:30 p.m.

2. Whether your meetings are formal dress.
We dress in sunday best the 1st meeting of every month, the rest are whatever you want. We are local.

3. Follow a strict or lose parliamentary procedure.
We follow a strict parliamentary procedure.

4. Whatever else you think relevant.
Our meetings aren't that long because the pres and vice pres control the meeting very well in my opinon. Also strict parliamentary procedure is a very good thing IMO.

1. Chapter meetings are Sunday @ 7:00. Officer Board (Prez, VP, Secretary,Treasurer, Education Director, Recruitment Director, and Panhell Delegate) meets Tuesdays @ 5.

We try to keep chapter to an hour. Sometimes it can run maybe 30 minutes longer.

2. Attire for chapter alternates between letters and badgewear- basically something you would wear to a job interview or professional setting.

3. On a scale of 1-10. With 10 being by the book strict parliamentary procedure and 1 being none at all, I'd say we are about a 6 on the parliamentary procedure scale.
We use it when addressing officers and asking questions and in voting on business matters like calendar dates and the budget, etc.

I think we do a pretty good job of getting meeting to go smoothly since the president pretty much keeps everything under control. And most girls understand that the quieter we are, the quicker chapter goes.

The only meetings I go to anymore are Alum Chapter Exec meetings and Advisory Board meetings.

Yeah, occasionally, I'll drop in on an active chapter meeting to see what they're up to. That should stop when school starts though.

There's also an annual alum chapter meeting -- that'll use parliamentary procedure.

Basically, the exec and advisory meetings are run from an agenda, each person discusses the issues that they think are relevant, and we move on. It works out pretty well because we've all known eachother forever and when we discuss something, we'll already know mostly where other folks are going to fall on it.

Parliamentary procedure is generally a burden on meetings of 8 or less in my opinion.

As for Kappa Phi:

1. Chapter meetings are Tuesdays @ 8. Cabinet usually meets an hour earlier.

2. Attire is casual. Unless we're having a pledging ceremony then it is church attire and pins.

3. We don't follow parliamentary prcedure. Usually each Cabinet Officer presents their report and announcements and then we do a sisterhood or study of some sort.
