I do "happen" to have that answer. The SHOW WILL GO ON!!! We have scholarships to give and a community to serve with the proceeds!

Last weekend's tornado caused significant damage to the Georgia World Congress Center and a number of events, including SMLAC's step show, were canceled by the venue. I have received word from our Chapter President that a new venue has been selected for the show. Details are as follows:

DATE: Saturday, March 22, 2008 - 6:00PM
LOCATION: The Arena at Gwinnett Center - 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth, GA 30097
PARKING: FREE!!!
COST: $25 at the door
Check out the WEBSITE: www.gwinnettcenter.com

I know it's a hike, and I know gas is expensive, but I hope that will not impede your support of my chapter. I do hope to see you there!

Thank you for your continued support of SMLAC and the work we do in the community.

Sincerely,
Kelli

PS - I still have a few tickets available. PM me for details.

Time to bounce back

I live in Dunwoody, and when the tornado hit, I was actually on 285 headed to the crib. Up to that point, I hadn't seen that much rain. It was crazy but, now it's time for the city to bounce back.

Peace,
7th

I was in the path of the tornado as I live in the heart of downtown...and watched bits of roof and plywood swirl right past my living room window! Scary!!
I live in a 16-story building and some of my neighbors windows were blown out on the 10th and 14th floors (I live on the 5th floor thank goodness!), but I am fine and luckily, no broken windows!

We're still in the process of cleaning it all up. The areas by CNN Center, the World Congress Center and Centennial Park are still looking bad, but making progress. A scary weekend to say the least.

Well, this is the year I don't have to hike to the south side because it is in my neck of the woods. But of course this would also be the year I cannot attend.

I hear ya...I live in Gwinnett and was NOT looking forward to the drive downtown. But for my sorors..I'd go anywhere (smile) Do we know if they are still having the after party too? Sorry you can't make it...I'll shake a leg for ya...
