Bringing this back to the top. LSUTigerGirl,
tell us how you got interested in Dave. I just love meeting other Dave fans

Ok you guys, lets see how much we know about Dave. Let's play DMB trivia The first person who answers first gets to post the next question. No fair answering your own question unless the other people can't answer it.

Here's an easy one:

How did the number songs(#34,36,&41) get their name?

Good luck

OK...Here I am. Let's see. This is really embarrassing to admit but I got interested in Dave because I was in love with a guy that was a big fan of his. YES...I am very ashamed to admit that.

Anyways...I started liking that guy and found out that he was really into Dave so I decided to check Dave out myself so we would have something to talk about. Well just so happens that I started liking Dave more than I liked the guy. So anyways...I got rid of the guy and became a huge fan of Dave. I think he's absolutely adorable and I love his music.

I don't know if anybody else has asked this question so I'll ask it myself. What's your favorite DMB song? I have so many that it's hard to pick just one. If I had to pick it would be Crash. That's the first DMB song I ever heard. I also like Satellite, Ants Marching...you know all of his standards.

Allison

OK-- on what Leslie and LSUTiger girl said in the other forum--

I GET TO MARRY DAVE sheerly by virtue of my age. Y'all are too young for him. LOL. BUT, if you help me get rid of Ashley, I'll share him with you. ha ha ha ha

Fav Dave song? ACK. Can't pick just one--maybe Two Step--the live at Red Rocks version. Maybe the Dreaming Tree. Maybe Warehouse. Maybe I'll Back you Up...

I burned a CD with my 20 favs called Dancing Tripping Ants Crash into You.

That story is hilarious!

As for Fave Dave songs....Ants marching is up there of course (everyday when i go to work, i look at the hoards of people going down to they subway and i sing that song in my head). Crush will always be a fave. That song just does something to me everytime I hear it.

I love Say Good-bye because, as Amycat and I have talked about, everyone has a 'say good-bye' person in their life, if you know what i mean .

I love Dancing Nancies. Hard not to. And Two Step is the most amazing song to hear live.

Finally, I have to include songs from the new album. The Space Between is my favorite song on the disk, by far, but the lyrics of Sleep to Dream Her almost make me cry .

I could go on and on cause I love all of his stuff. But those are my main faves.
How bout you guys?

Ok--Amycat I might be a little young for him but you said that if I help you get rid of Ashley I get to share right??? I'm thinking we can put a hit out on her or something. I'm just joking of course!!!

gphi2k--I'm really glad you liked my story. I feel so pitiful for that being my one and only reason for being a Dave fan. But then again...we all had to find him some way.

I totally forgot about Two Step when I was posting earlier. I love that song too. But then again...Dave Matthews could sing the ABCs and I would love it!!!! LOL

LOL
we all responded within 10 minutes of eachother! Think we got some hardcores here!!! .

Those songs, (the numbered ones) got their names cause that was the number in order of the song MY FUTURE HUSBAND wrote (i.e. the 36th song he wrote, and so on). I didn't know how to word that properly but hopefully you know what i mean!)

So i'll ask the next question, (i know Amy will know this but...) What is the name of the Club in Virginia that DMB played once a week and where his original following was centred.
b) what's the name of the bar he bartened at and first came out from behind the bar, guitar and amazing voice in tow?

Leslie

gphi2k--

I think you're right. We're either all crazy about Dave or we're just straight up Greekchat junkies. LOL.
