I know at my campus, no GLO's have houses that are owned by the campus. All of them rent houses in town and designate them as "their" house. I have heard that old brothel law, but I guess we all ignore it, because 17 of us lived in our sorority house, and nobody cared
Just as an option, look into renting a house if you want a house. We don't pay for the house in our dues, with the exception of chapter insurance, and it's only like $15 per sister. The women who live in the house pay the rent, as it's the place they live. Women who don't live there don't pay the rent unless a room is unfilled, which has never happened. Housing can be a doable option if you can get your national to back you up and make sure you get a landlord that keeps the property in working order.
