I posted this story on the Beauty Pageant thread, but I wanted to mention the link here as well....
It's a very uplifting story. This TriDelta is an excellent example of the human spirit!
Enjoy!
There's something about Theresa ... http://www.nationalpost.com/search/s...03/463690.html

Also, one of my favorite stories EVER is that thread "Greek Family" posted by Gina_lynn: http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/...ML/001497.html

I got warm fuzzies when i got to work and realized that there were more warm fuzzies . How funny is that? I just knew that there would be something in there to make me, well, warm and fuzzy. And it worked! Let me tell you, there is nothing better than warm fuzzies to greet you early on a monday morning. All you guys are the BEST!!!!

I have a warm fuzzy that i just have to share.

I have a friend who I haven known since I was One. No joke. When we were infants, we were insperale. My family moved when I was Three and we lost touch (cause, three year olds don't typically make plans of their own or talk on the phone .)

We ended up at the same camp when we were ten and became best of friends and inseperable again. It was great. Then, a year and a half later, her family moved out of the city, and we lost touch again.

Almost THIRTEEN years later, (meaning about a month ago ) I started thinking about her and wondering about where and how she was, and so I looked her up on ICQ (gotta LOVE that program!!!) and as luck would have it, she was there. I got in touch with her, and now I AGAIN count her among one of the most special people in my life. It is almost like we didn't skip a beat (except for the extreme changes that take place in someone's life between the ages of 11 and 24).

We keep joking now that we have to get intouch at least once a decade. But it is truly amazing to me how we are the most natural of friends such that an entire decade can pass and when we speak, it's as if we've been friends all along .

If there's someone who you've lost touch with by circumstance and not by choice, and you're thinking about them, get in touch with them. Sometimes you completely miss the void that is there until they return to fill it .

I just got some good news.

My family lived in a smaller town for ten years (I personally only lived there for 5) and since have moved several times. My parents now live in the same state as our old town. Well, several months ago my father was diagnosed with cancer so since then my mother and he have both retired, and they were thinking about moving back to the old town. I called home tonight and my mom told me that the exact same house that we lived in 15 years ago is for sale and we might move back. I am so excited, and I know my older sister and brother will be too. My mom asked me if I wanted my old room back and I got really warm and fuzzy.

Warm Fuzzie of the Day:

Our Union has a mini bowling alley in it. Well today while I was eating lunch, there were a group of young boys bowling. I watching them play as I'm eating and I notice this one boy who keeps getting gutter balls. So I'm watch him for a couple of frames and notice his shot. So afte his turn, I show him how to correct his swing and after that he was knocking down more pins

I just thought about this one. There was a series on HBO about a year or so ago. It was last year I think. It featured all the men and women who had reached at least their 100th Birthday. I was really moved by the stories they shared. Also, the various walks of live they were from and the different events in history they experienced. I hope they do something like that again because I thought it was very special
No, I'm not trying to kiss up to anyone *L*
